"I love you." Robin says, then pecks Regina's lips. She rubs her thumb along his cheek, a smile upon her lips. "I love you more." Regina responds, looking deep into his clear blue eyes. She brushes her nose against his before capturing his lips in a gentle kiss. She moves the hand that was caressing his cheek to the back of his head and runs her fingers through his short, dirty blond hair. Robin's arm is wrapped around her lower back pressing her against him. His other arm stays by his side, his hand playing with Regina's; interlocking their fingers and tickling the palm of her hand. Robin feels her smile against his lips before he breaks the kiss.
"I love you most." Robin says with a smile, watching as Regina pulls away and opens her chocolate brown eyes. "I love you the mostest." She giggles and he laughs along with her. "That's not even a word." Robin says, he couldn't stop thinking how beautiful she looked when she was just laughing and being herself. "It is in my vocabulary." Regina responds, squeezing Robin's hand. She leans in for another kiss but her lips only brush against his before he pulls back. "I have to go to work." Robin says, and she sighs. "Can't you just call in sick?" Regina whines. "As much as I'd love to stay here with you, I have a family to support now." Robin says, placing a hand on her stomach. "Alright, if u must." Regina sighs, pecking his cheek. Robin throws his jacket on and opens the front door. "I'll see you in a couple hours, my love." He says, letting her hand slip from his grasp as he walks out the door. Regina smiles at him, she was so love stuck. Robin was her everything, her whole world and now they are bringing a child into that world. It's late afternoon and Robin's shift at the animal shelter had just ended. It was just a temporary job until he found something that made a bit more money but he didn't mind working there. Not that they needed it though, as Regina was the mayor for many years so she had a fair share of money in the bank. Robin sends Regina a quick text letting her know he's on his way home. She was currently sitting on the couch, watching some cooking show that was on while sipping a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Soon enough she hears the sound of keys jingling and places her mug on the coffee table. She quickly gets up from her comfortable spot in the couch to greet him just as he walks through the door. "Hey baby, how was your day?" Regina says, watching as Robin takes his jacket and shoes off. "It wasn't too great." He sighs, pulling her into a hug. She rests her head on his shoulder and wraps her arms around his neck, his hands running up and down her back. "What happened? Talk to me about it." Regina says, she pulls away grabbing his hand. "I don't really want to." Robin replies, shaking his head. Regina tugs on his hand, trying to pull him towards the living room. "Come on." She says and he begins walking behind her.
Regina sits herself on the couch, Robin taking a seat beside her. "Let's talk. Tell me what happened today that made your day so awful." She smiles at him, rubbing her thumb along the back of his hand. "I said I didn't want to talk about it." Robin says, a bit sharper this time. Regina didn't get the message that he was being serious when he said that, "Come on Robin, just tell me." She whines. "I can't." He mumbles, his head hanging in disappointment. Regina didn't quite hear him, "What?" She asks. "I can't tell you Regina!" Robin yells in frustration, standing up from the couch. She looks at him in shock, scared by his outburst, he never yells at her. "Why not?" Regina asks, her voice quiet and soft. He places a hand to his forehead and sighs, "I just can't. I'm sorry." Robin responds, shaking his head. He was so disappointed in himself, the situation he'd gotten himself and now his wife into. The worst part was he couldn't even tell her.
"Do you not trust me?" Regina asks, also getting up off the couch to face him. "Of course I trust you." Robin responds, as if it's the most obvious answer in the world. "Then why can't you tell me?" She asks, stepping closer to him. "I can't risk you getting hurt." Robin explains. She frowns, "If this concerns our safety, you have to tell me Robin. We promised we'd tell each other everything." Regina says, grabbing both his hands in hers. Robin thinks about it for a moment, he has to tell her. She's his wife and he loves her more than anything. He can't risk wrecking what they have over something stupid he'd done. "Come with me." Robin says in a low whisper as he pulls her by her hand upstairs to their bedroom. Once they get there, Robin shuts the door carefully then joins her on the bed. Suddenly he hears the sound of two car doors slamming shut. He runs over to the window, seeing two men dressed in all black. "No." He mutters, and runs to lock their bedroom door.
