It's mid day when Robin arrives home. He had gone out to pick up some snacks for Roland and Henry's lunches this week. There was still a few hours till the boys got home so Robin thought it'd be nice to spend some time just him and Regina. He puts the grocery bags on the counter then walks further into the house, searching for her. When he enters the living room, he immediately smiles at what he sees. Regina had fallen asleep on the couch one leg bent below her and one hanging off the front in the couch. One of her arms was underneath the pillow behind her head while the other was bent and rested over her stomach. Her face looks so peaceful and beautiful, her dark hair splayed unevenly along the feather pillow.

Robin begins walking towards her, taking light steps, careful not to wake her. He picks up the blanket they keep on the back of the couch and unfolds it before laying it gently on top of her. She squirms a bit when he does so and he's scared he woke her up until she exhales lightly then breathes evenly once again. He kneels beside her and smiles, a genuine happy smile, before reaching to tuck a piece of hair behind her ear. Her eyes immediately open as soon as she feels his fingertips graze the soft skin of her cheek. She grabs his wrist harshly, her nails digging into is pulse point. He lets out a small whimper of pain, as he looks at her confused.

"Regina." Robin says through gritted teeth, she releases her grip on his wrist. He sighs and looks down at his wrist seeing red half moon marks, stinging his skin. When he looks up to meet Regina's eyes they are no longer the familiar colour of whiskey brown. They are dark, almost black in colour. His eyes widen in surprise  and she narrows her eyes at him before bringing a hand to his neck. She begins choking him, squeezing all the air from his lungs and he struggles to breath.

"Regina, please." Robin manages to say, he didn't know what was going on. Regina's only response was a tighter hold on his throat.

"Regina, I... love-" Robin stutters, running out of air to breathe.

"Y-you." He finishes, breathlessly. That's when he feels his body shut down and hit the floor of their living room.

Robin wakes up with a gasp, his eyes opening and his heart pounding. He looks around the room, realizing it was a dream. A terrible dream he feels awful about having, but only a dream none the less. He feels a small hand on his arm and looks to his right to see Regina rubbing her hand up and down his arm.

"Are you ok?" She asks softly, he must've woken her up. He nods and runs his fingers through his hair, now a little damp with sweat.

"Are you sure?" Regina asks again, sitting up and moving closer to him. Robin nods once again.

"Just a bad dream." He tells her then lies back down, pulling her into his side.

"What was it about?" She asks and suddenly he's silent.

"Robin?" Regina questions, confused as to why he wouldn't tell her. He tells her everything.

"It was nothing to worry about, Regina. Lets just go back to sleep." Robin says, lying back down with his back to her and she frowns.

"Why won't you tell me?" She asks quietly, he could suddenly hear the sadness in her voice. She rubs her hand along his bicep, trying to get him to realize she was there for him.

"Because it's nothing to be worried about, Regina. Would you just leave it alone? Go back to sleep." Robin says in an almost harsh way, causing tears to fill her eyes. Why didn't he trust her?

Regina sighs, pulling back the bed sheets and walking around to his side of the bed. She crouches down in front of him, her eyes locking on his.

"Robin, it's something that upset you so will you please tell me what it was about? I promise, I'll be here no matter what it was about. Please? I love you." Regina tells him, caressing his cheek lightly and smiling through the last three word she said.

"Ok." He finally agrees, "come here." Robin says, opening his arms to her and she crawls back into bed. She lays in his arms, her body leaning into his side and her leg tangled with one of his.

"It was about you and I." He starts and she immediately thinks that something happened to her in his dream.

"I came home from getting groceries and you were asleep in the couch, I came over and put a blanket on you and noticed your hair was in your face and when I went to tuck it behind your ear, you grabbed my wrist and... dug you nails into my pulse." Robin says, very uneasily and she tenses up.

"Robin I-" She starts to say, he knows she feels awful and that hurt him.

"I'm not finished." He interrupts and she nods slowly.

"I looked into your eyes and saw them darken and that's when I realized it wasn't you that was doing this, it must've been the Evil Queen in you. You started choking me and I was begging you to stop but you didn't and then when I finally became unconscious that's when I woke up." Robin explains and he feels a tear fall into his chest. Regina rolls out of his arms and lies far on her side of the bed, her back facing him.

"Regina, it was just a nightmare." Robin says moving closer to her.

"I'm a nightmare." She mutters, sniffling. Robin felt horrible, he wasn't scared of Regina or her former self. Just knowing how badly that made her feel was like an arrow through his heart.

"No, my love, you are not." Robin tells her and she rolls over to face him.

"I would never hurt you, Robin. You know that right?" She says truthfully, she needed him to know, although he already did.

"I know. Like I said, it was just a bad dream and they happen sometimes. I'm not afraid of you, Regina. I love you and I hate seeing you upset like this, especially knowing I'm the cause of it." Robin responds, wiping away the tears that had fallen down her face.

"Its ok, and I love you too." Regina whispers, a small smile on her face as she touches his cheek.

"Now go to sleep, my love." He says softly, as he pulls her into his arms. She closes her eyes and feels Robin's lips against her forehead before his head softly lies back on a pillow.

"Good night." She says after a small yawn. He brushes her hair from her face, smiling at how gorgeous she looked like this, so peaceful and relaxed in his arms.

"Good night."
