In honour of National Ice Cream Day🍦🍦🍦
"What kind are you getting?" Robin asks Regina as she looks for her favourite kind of ice cream. "They don't have it." She pouts. "Don't have what?" He asks, confused. "Cotton Candy." Regina says. "Regina, that kind of ice cream is for five-year-olds." Robin responds rolling his eyes. "But it's my favorite Robin. If they don't have it here we are going somewhere else." She says taking his hand and walking him towards the door. "Where else are we going to go? This is the only ice cream store in town." Robin asks. "Can't you just settle for another kind?" Regina shrugs her shoulders, "I don't like any other kind." She explains. She was being so stubborn, Robin knew she didn't like trying new things but today he would make her. "C'mon, we aren't leaving here until you have an ice cream you like in your hands." Robin says. She sighs and mutters a frustrated, "fine" as Robin walks her back to the counter.
They spend at least twenty minutes testing all the flavours and Regina refuses to pick any of them so far. Robin could see the woman behind the counter getting frustrated, he was quite annoyed himself. "Regina, what do you want?" Robin finally asks. "None." She responds. "C'mon there has to be one kind that you don't mind." He says. "Alright, the vanilla isn't bad." She admits. "But don't you think that's a little plain?" He asks. "Robin. We just spent like twenty minutes trying ice cream. I had to listen to your constant nagging about choosing a flavour and now I finally pick one and you insult it." Regina says giving him a death look. He laughs, "Regina you are arguing with me about insulting a flavour of ice cream." Robin says. She shakes her head, "Well sorry I actually like Vanilla ice cream now." Regina responds sassily then rolls her eyes. "So you admit you like it." Robin says, raising an eyebrow. "Yes I like it." She sighs. "Alright we'll get two vanilla ice creams in a cone please." Robin orders. "Why two?" She asks, confused. "Well vanillas my favourite too." He smiles as the lady hands him the ice cream. "Really?" Regina ask as she takes her ice cream as well. "Yes." Robin replies. "Well why didn't you just tell me to get that in the first place?" She asks. "Because you were being so stubborn." He responds, licking his ice cream. "I am not stubborn." She says pointing a finger at him. "Sure you aren't." Robin winks.
"Do you want to go for a walk?" Robin asks taking her hand, leading her out of the store. "Sure." She says smiling. They walk around the sidewalks of Storybrooke, sharing happy glances at each other every once and a while. They finally stop at a park bench and sit down. Robin was almost finished while Regina took forever to eat hers. Robin dips his finger in his ice cream and wipes it on Regina's nose. She scrunches it and looks at him. "Hey!" She says and wipes her nose with her finger then rubs her sticky hands on his shirt. "Thanks so much for that." Robin says sarcastically. "You are so welcome." Regina responds with just as much sarcasm, taking a bite into her ice cream cone. Robin grabs her ice cream
then gets off the bench and makes a run for it. Her eyes widen as she begins to run after him but he is much faster. Regina watches as he begins eating what's left of her vanilla ice cream. "No! You're eating it all." She whines, finally catching up to him. Regina jumps on his back, and reaches to grab her ice cream which he continues to pull out of her grasp. "Gimme." She says and he shakes his head, no. "Please Robin." Regina says, then begins placing kisses along his neck up to his cheek. "Please." She asks again. He sighs, "Fine, but only because you are being totally irresistible right now." Robin says and Regina hops off his back."Really?" Regina asks and Robin turns to face her. They lock eyes, both getting lost in the beautiful kaleidoscopes of blues and browns. "Of course. You are always irresistible to me." Robin responds with a smile. "You are so sweet." She smiles, that elusive but satisfying smile he absolutely adores. "But not as sweet as this ice cream!" Regina says and grabs her ice cream back. Robin knocks the ice cream out of her hand then grabs her waist and pulls her towards him, crashing his lips into hers. She hums, smiling as she throws her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. "We should head home it's getting late." Regina says against his lips. "One more kiss." Robin says, pressing his lips against hers again. She smiles into the kiss as a hand tangles into his hair. Regina pulls away and he sighs. "Don't worry we can do plenty of kissing when we get home." She giggles. "Alright." He says taking her hand as they begin walking home.
"I'm mad at you, you know." Regina says looking up at him. They were laying in bed, cuddled in each other's arms, her head laying comfortably on his chest. "No, I didn't know." Robin responds with a confused face. "You knocked my ice cream out of my hand." She pouts. Robin rolls his eyes, "Oh c'mon, you were taking forever to eat it, and I wanted to kiss you so I had no choice but to do that." He says. "Alright, if you really had no choice." She laughs. He runs his fingers through her dark hair, smiling down at her. "What is it?" Regina asks when she catches Robin staring. "Nothing. You're just so beautiful." He says like its so obvious. She feels herself blush and his hand moves to her cheek, brushing his thumb along her cheek bone. "Truly stunning in every way." Robin says. Regina kisses him, gently, closing her eyes as her lips brush lightly on his. When she pulls away she bumps his nose with hers and looks into his sparkling blue eyes. "I love you." Regina whispers. "I love you too." Robin smiles. "Do we have any vanilla ice cream?" She asks. Robin chuckles, "Of course."
