"Get down!" Snow and Regina hear a masculine voice yell.

The queen and her step daughter immediately comply and drop to the dirt floor of the forest. A flying monkey swoops towards them and they quickly attempt to shield themselves with their arms but soon hear a screech of pain from the wretched creature. It gets both their attention, heads shooting up to see an arrow in its eye as it flies away.

"Milady." The same voice says, causing the women to turn around. Regina sees a gloved hand outstretched to her but doesn't take it. Instead she looks down at the wound along her arm which was stinging in pain, and also caused by that awful monkey just moments before.

"You're injured." The man notices, looking down at the large gash along the queen's forearm.

"It's your majesty." Regina finally responds, looking up to meet his blue eyed gaze.

"And I'm fine." She tells him, her eyes drifting down again.

"A simple thank you would suffice." He says, nonchalantly.

"We didn't ask for your help." Regina replies, refusing his help and getting up onto her feet herself. The man frowns at her in confusion.

"Well I'm grateful for the assistance." Snow says with a smile and takes his hand as he helps her stand.

"Robin. Robin of Locksley." He introduces himself, giving Snow's hand a firm shake.

"And these are a few of my Merry Men." Robin continues, gesturing to the few scruffy looking men joining behind him.

"Snow White." Snow introduces herself as well.

"At last we meet." Robin says, "You know there was a time when our faces grazed wanted posters side by side."

"If you're really Snow White, why are you with her?" One of his Merry Men chimes in.

"Her?" Regina asks, clearly offended.

"Show some respect, or at least some restraint at the buffet." She continues, sass lacing her words.

"You'll have to excuse Little John, but before you cursed this land we spent many days running from your black knights." Robin responds, in a defensive tone.

"Well I'm sure you deserved it." Regina states, without a care in the world.

"What the hell was that thing?" She asks, changing the subject. She wasn't one for talking about her past.

"I have no idea." Robin says, honestly.

"We've never encountered the likes of it before." He explains, within his British accent.

The sound of the creatures terrible screeching gets their attention once more.

"Come on." Snow says, "This way, we need to warn the others."

They begin walking together down the leaf covered pathways of the forest. Although as Snow and Regina walk a little ahead of the group, Regina finds herself looking back at Robin every once and a while. There was something about him, something she felt drawn to. He wasn't bad looking, actually quite handsome in her opinion, but Regina would never admit that.

"So what do you think of our new friend?" Regina asks Snow, "Can we trust him?"

"He is a thief." The Queen continues.

"Think of it from his perspective." Snow simply replies, "How do you think he looks at you?"

"Point taken." Regina sighs and nods her head.
