"You may now kiss the bride." Archie says, looking from Belle to Rumple with a smile. They lean in, sealing their vows of marriage and eternal love with a kiss. The audience applauses, for the newly wed couple; Mr and Mrs Gold.
Soon after a dinner full of toasts to Rumple and Belle, everyone gathers to watch the couples first dance. After a romantic dance to music played on the grand piano, many people joined in while Belle and Rumple took a seat. As Belle looked around the room she saw everyone having a good time, except for two particular people.
Regina sat alone at a table stirring her tall glass of ice water with a lemon wedge hooked onto the side. She didn't know why she even came to this wedding. She barely knew Belle and hated Rumple. He made her into this awful person she is today, but he also made her powerful. She thought she could at least be thankful for that. Although, her day was not going well. She had set up a huntsman to go kill the precious Snow White and once again they had grown soft and brought her back nothing but a worthless heart from a deer. Regina had enough of this, she had tried and failed too many times. How hard was it for her to be happy?
Robin downed a shot of whiskey, feeling the familiar burn as it ran down his throat. He slammed the glass down, causing a few people to turn heads. He didn't care, let them think what they want about him. From years of stealing Robin had learned much. Even the slightest of actions can inflict fear upon people. He had been planning to rob and kill King Arthur for a while now and it had not been working out. He needed the riches, mostly for himself but also for revenge. The King had taken everything from him in the past; his wife, his friends even some family members. They betrayed him for Arthur and Robin could only blame him. Robin wasn't one to come to these sort of events. He barely knew Rumple and he hadn't spoken to Belle in years. He couldn't help but stare down at the empty glass in boredom. Everyone else seemed to be having a good time yet he could never manage to. It's been too long since anyone has put a smile on his face.
Belle looks from Regina to Robin just a few tables away from where she and her husband are sitting. She decides to go talk to Robin, maybe he can ask Regina for a dance. She goes to get up when Rumple grabs her hand.
"Where are you going?" He asks, eyes darting up to look at her.
"Robin seems lonely and so does Regina, I was going to set them up." Belle explains innocently. Rumple laughs lightly, shaking his head in disbelief.
"That's a recipe for disaster, they are both too sick and twisted. I don't know what would happen." Rumple tells her and she sighs, sitting herself back down on the chair and taking his other hand.
"Rumple, when I met you, you were a completely different person. You were full of darkness, but you know what changed that? Love. Maybe that's all the two of them need and maybe they can find that in each other." Belle says with a hopeful smile.
Rumple nods, "Maybe they can." He says and smiles at Belle. He was trying to be a better man for Belle, he learned that sometimes he has to trust her.
Belle then gave him a kiss on the cheek and stood up. She spins around and begins walking towards Robin who was now watching as couples danced elegantly across the floor.
"Not enjoying yourself?" Belle asks getting Robin's attention. He looks at her and shrugs his shoulders.
"Everyone else seems to be." Robin sighs, looking back down at his empty glass.
"Well... not everyone." She says and Robin frowns. Belle points to where Regina is sitting across the room.
"The Evil Queen?" He asks in disbelief. He was not about to go talk to her after hearing horror stories about her from many.
