Jonathan was getting ready to go trick or treating with his friends. He was dressed up as a ninja. He was hoping to get a lot of candy. He was waiting for his friends Rudy, and Libby.
The doorbell rang. Jonathan got the door. It was his Rudy, and Libby. "Hiya, Jonathan!" said Libby. "Ready to go trick or treating?" :)
"You bet I am!" said Jonathan.
"Let's get some candy!" said Rudy.
Rudy was dressed up as the Grim Reaper, and Libby was dressed up as a clown.
"You have fun, Jonathan!" said his mom. "Stay out of trouble you hear?"
"Okay, Mom," said Jonathan. And so he left with his friends to go trick or treating.
Their first stop was at a house with an elderly woman. Jonathan rang the doorbell. The elderly woman opened the door. "Trick or treat!"
"Why hello, kids!" chuckled the elderly woman. "Here are some goodies for you. Don't eat too much now!" :)
"Thanks!" said Rudy.
Next house was with a teenage girl that was alone while her parents were out. "Trick or treat!"
"Shouldn't you kids be supervised?" scoffed the teenage girl. "You need some grown ups with you."
"We're only 10!" said Libby. "Our parents said it was okay."
"Whatever," sighed the teenage girl. "Let me get your candy."
"Aren't you supposed to be trick or treating yourself?" asked Rudy.
"I can't," replied the teenage girl. "My parents told me to stay home and pass out candy while they went out. I had to tell my friends that they had to go trick or treating without me."
"Boy that stinks!" said Jonathan. "Why don't you come trick or treating with us?"
"I can't!" said the teenage girl. "I will get in trouble!"
"You're missing out on some good Halloween fun!" said Libby.
"You're right!" said the teenage girl. "Who cares what my parents say? Count me in!" :)
"Whoo hoo!" exclaimed Rudy.
"My name is Carla! And what might your names be?" she asked.
"My name is Jonathan, and these are my two friends Rudy, and Libby," said Jonathan.
"Nice to meet you, kids!" said Carla. "You kids wait here. Let me change into my costume." And so they waited outside for Carla. She was now dressed up as a witch. "Come on, kids lets go trick or treating!" said Carla.
They stopped at a house that was all secluded in the woods. There were a lot of dirt roads and no lights. It was pitch dark.
"Are you sure this is safe?" asked Libby sounding worried. "I don't like the looks of this place."
"It's okay, kid," said Carla. "You're lucky that I tagged along. I won't let anyone hurt you." :)
Carla rang the doorbell. There was giggling heard from inside the house. It sounded like someone was being tickled.
Carla rang the doorbell again. Again there was giggling.
"Who is giggling?" asked Rudy. "What could be so funny?"
"Who knows?" said Carla. She rang the doorbell yet again. Still there was giggling.
"You have got to be kidding me!" bellowed Rudy. "Anyone home?"
