Dave was on lifeguard duty. He was making sure the kids in the pool were safe, and following the rules. It was a hot, summer day in June. It was 91 degress, and the humidity was very high.
Just then a girl was spotted drowning in the pool. Dave acted quickly, and dived in the pool to save her. The other kids were very concerned for her. "Hope she'll be okay," a girl said.
Dave quickly peformed CPR on the girl. "Come on!" said Dave. "Don't you die on me! Come on, girl!" He kept on giving her CPR.
The girl finally came to. She started coughing a bit, and was now awake. "You saved my life," replied the girl softly. "I cannot thank you enough."
"It was my pleasure," said Dave. "What's your name?"
"It's Katherine!" she replied.
"I'm Dave!"
"Thanks again for saving my life, Dave!" said Katherine. "You're a good dude!" 😁
"Anytime, Katherine!" chuckled Dave. "A lifeguard like myself has to be on high alert at all times!" 😁
