Margaret was having a Thanksgiving feast for her friends. She got everything she needed. The turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, pie crusts, and candied yams. She was cooking the food right now. Her neighbor, Peter was helping her out. The turkey was in the oven. Peter was peeling the potatoes. And Margaret was cooking the stuffing on the stove.

Her friends, Jim, Wallace, Katherine, and Mary would be here real soon. Jim liked the main course, which was the turkey. "I am getting so hungry," said Peter.

"The turkey will be done soon," said Margaret. "And the rest of the food as well."

The food was eventually done. The turkey was now of the oven. It was well cooked too. Then Margaret's friends arrived. "Do I smell turkey?" asked Jim.

"Yes you do, Jim," said Margaret. "The turkey is nice and hot. I just took it out of the oven."  :)

"I could sure go for some cranberry sauce," chuckled Wallace.

"I'm for the stuffing," said Katherine.

"And I want some pumpkin pie!" said Mary, licking her lips.

"We'll, before we eat, we must say grace!" said Margaret. "Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what we have."

"That is so true," said Jim.

"Who wants to say grace?" asked Katherine.

"I will!" said Wallace.

"Okay take it away, Wallace!" said Margaret.

Everyone closed their eyes, held hands, and bowed their heads so Wallace could say grace.

"Dear Lord, we thank you for bringing us here today to our friend for Thanksgiving dinner. We thank you, Lord, for always looking out for us, and providing us comfort, and love. We thank you, Lord, for looking after those that are homeless, and have no place to live. And we thank you, Lord, for providing us this good food that we are about to eat. In Jesus Christ we pray. Amen."

"Amen," everyone else said. "Okay let's eat!" said Jim.

And so everyone got a little of something. There were drinks like soda, sparkling juice, and water. Jim got himself a turkey leg, with lots of gravy, some stuffing, and mashed potatoes. He was really working on the turkey!

"Jim sure does love turkey on Thanksgiving!" chuckled Wallace.

"He sure does!" said Katherine. After everyone was done eating, the movie Home Alone was on. So, everyone wanted to watch it.

Kevin: Mom, Uncle Frank won't let me watch the movie, but the big kids can. Why can't I?

Kate: Kevin, I'm on the phone.

Kevin: It's not even rated R. He's just being a jerk.

Kate: Kevin, if Uncle Frank says no, then it must be really bad. No we're not taking the dog. Hey hey, Kevin, get off. Kevin, out of the room.

Kevin: Hang up the phone, and make me why don't you?

"That kid!" chuckled Wallace. "This movie is the best Christmas movie ever!"

"It sure is!" said Mary. "It came out in 1990."

"You have a good memory, Mary!" said Margaret.

"I sure do!" chuckled Mary.
