It's now been six months, Castiel has changed, he isnt as carefree as he used to be, but he's still relatively the same. Castiel had been marking the days down on his calendar, the picture of Dean the wallpaper on his phone, waiting patiently, anxiously for his lover to come home. He loved Dean more than anything, he just hoped Dean still loved him. Half a year can do damage or good to someone and he has no way of knowing which happened to Dean. Castiel expected a call from Sam when Dean got back, they had hung out a few times and pass the awkwardness he was a pretty nice guy. Sam seemed to genuinely care for his brother, where as far as Castiel could tell John wanted nothing to do with Dean. He tapped the marker on the paper of his calendar, why hasn't Sam called him? At least to tell him that Dean wasn't coming back yet, that would be better than being left in the dark. Castiel opened a beer, grabbed another one for Kevin and walked across the hall. He opened the door without knocking and covered his eyes when he saw that the other man was getting dressed. "Most people knock, Cassy." He took the beer from Castiel, laughing as he pressed it to his lips. "Has Sam called you? I haven't heard anything from him." Kevin patted Castiel's shoulder, he could probably see the beginnings of a panic attack in his blue eyes. "Don't worry, Cassy. You know Dean will come back." Castiel chewed the inside of his cheek and then resigned to biting his purple finger nail. "I know, I know. I was just expecting to hear something from him by now." Castiel took a swig of the beer, trying to calm his rapidly escalating anxiety. "We should go to the club tonight, let loose a little bit. Its only been the 6 month mark for a week." Kevin shrugged, "Maybe he needs to catch a plane or something to get here." Castiel sat on the corner of Kevin's bed, it made sense what his friend said but his anxiety wasn't buying it. He took another sip, the beer wasn't really doing anything for him at this point. Kevin sat beside him, rubbed his back and Castiel rested his head on his shoulder. "What if he doesn't want to come back? What if he thinks I'm too much work?"

Kevin drug Castiel to the club later that night, he wore his black waist coat over a white shirt, black jeans and a chain hanging from his pocket to belt loop. Kevin laughed at Castiel and nudged his shoulder. "How are you always so fashionable?" Castiel shrugged and smiled a little. "It's more of a curse really." ~*~
When they got to the club he ordered his new favorite, whiskey, and sat down in a booth. "Cassy, you going to sit here all night?" "Nah, I'm just getting use to the loudness first, you know, before I get bombarded by strangers." Kevin laughed and joined the dancing crowd, the tiny Asian quicky swallowed by it. Castiel sat for awhile and surveyed the crowd, just watching people dance and have a good time. All of a sudden he noticed a face that looked familiar but he couldn't see it that well in the darkness. He watched them for awhile, drinking what seemed to be whiskey, and then one of the club lights flashed across the man's face. Castiel's heart stopped, he looked slightly more built, he had facial hair he didn't have before but Castiel knew those green eyes. The man caught his gaze and the world stopped, it's Dean. Castiel dropped his glass and ran to him, he fought through the dancing crowd and on the other side of it Dean was waiting for him with a smile on his face. "Hey beautiful." Dean's voice was deeper than before, it sent chills through his body. "Oh my god..." Castiel's chest hurt, he felt like he was going to pass out. Dean pulled Castiel against him and they kissed, he felt his world was spinning, Dean still taste exactly the same, smelled exactly the same. He broke their kiss, coming up for air and looked into those green eyes. "I can't believe you're here." He started crying and clung to Dean's chest while he held him tightly. "I promised you I would come back."

Dean saw Castiel first, he waited for the smaller man to notice him, he wanted to see the shock, the happiness on his face. Castiel looked different, tired, it hurt Dean to know he did it but he was back now and that expression will be gone. He saw Castiel spot him, he looked in another direction, pretending to not notice him. It took everything in Dean to not go over there and pick him up, to hold him and never let go again. The light flashed across his face and he knew for sure he was spotted. Dean smiled when he saw Castiel drop his glass, resulting in it shattering everywhere, but the small man didn't even notice. When Castiel got through the crowd Dean's heart stopped, his breath quickened. How did he forget how beautiful his Cassy is? Those blue eyes his one salvation in this world. He pulled Castiel against him, kissed him in a way to make up for all the time they spent apart. When Castiel broke their kiss and looked into his eyes Dean almost cried, being those close to the person he felt like he would never see again. All his anxiety, all his rage, temporarily soothed and forgotten. "I can't believe you're here." Dean felt those words tug at his heart, did Cassy really think he wouldn't come back? "I promised you I would come back." Castiel clung to him and cried, he knew it was tears of happiness. He had his own that he kept wiping away with the back of his hand.
