Tzuyu walked with me to school on Monday, just as she'd done the previous week. The only difference was that instead of her meeting me at the park, she met me as soon as I left my front door. She stood there, waiting for me to come outside. When she saw me, she gave me her usual greeting. She smiled, said 'Hey beautiful', and kissed me on the cheek before throwing her arm across my shoulders and beginning to walk.

As we walked, She ranted about her horrible weekend. After leaving my house at around four in the afternoon on Saturday, she went home only to discover that her five-year-old brother, Jackson, had drawn male parts all over her bedroom walls. To make the situation worse, Tzuyu's bedroom walls were black, and Jackson had used silver Sharpie. She'd had to chase Jackson all around the house for well over an hour before catching him and taking him to their mother to be disciplined. When she'd told their mother what the young boy had done, she'd promptly given Jackson a few swats on his behind and sent him up to his room. Much to Tzuyu's disappointment, her mother hadn't done much more to punish the boy. In the end, Tzuyu had to go out, buy black paint, and repaint her bedroom walls. As a result of the painting, Tzuyu had been sleeping in one of the guest rooms since Saturday night, and probably would be for another day or two.

Being the awesome best friend that I was, I'd laughed at Tzuyu's misery. As a result, she'd pinched my side and promised I'd receive tickle torture in the near future. I told her that I wasn't ticklish, and she promptly pinched me again before heading into the school building that I hadn't realized we'd arrived at.

I let my annoyance simmer for a few moments, and then followed her inside, intending to get her back for pinching me. I immediately stopped in my tracks when I saw her with a petite brunette. She was smiling and laughing as she talked animatedly about something or other. She spun in a circle multiple times, but suddenly stopped when she noticed me watching them. She smiled and ran over to me. As soon as she reached me, I was tackled into a hug.

"Hi!" she exclaimed excitedly. "I'm so happy to finally meet you. Tzuyu told me so much about you." As she rambled, she continued to squeeze the life out of me. For such a small girl, she had quite a strong grip. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she released me. She stepped back and examined me while I struggled to catch my breath. A moment or two later she said, "You know, when Tzuyu said you were pretty, she didn't say you were this pretty. It's official. I hate you because you're prettier than me."

I stared at the girl in disbelief. She hated me because I was pretty? How the hell did that make sense? Oh, I know. It didn't! I glared at her. "You're stupid. You can't hate me simply because I'm pretty, especially if you're fucking gorgeous. Honestly, have you looked in a mirror lately? If you haven't, you should. Then you will see how much your statement about me being prettier than you is absolutely absurd."

The brunette stared at me for a moment, looking completely astonished, before she suddenly hugged me again. "Oh, thank you! You're too kind, really. Honestly, I understand why Tzuyu likes you. If I were a guy or girl, or even batting for the other team, I would totally love to date you. You'd make me feel so special!"

It was at this time that Tzuyu approached us and pried the clingy girl off of me. "Down girl," she said to the brunette. Turning to me she said, "Sana unnie, this is my friend Chaeyoung. Chayoung unnie, this is Sana, though you already knew that."

Chaeyoung smiled at me. "Hi! I like you, let's be best friends. Please?"

Before I could respond, Tzuyu moved to stand beside me and put her arm around my shoulders, pulling me into her side. "No, you can't have her. She's mine," she told Chaeyoung.

She frowned. "That's not fair!" she whined. "Can't we both have her? You can be her girlfriend, and I can be her other girlfriend?"

She raised an eyebrow at her. "Chae, I thought you were straight."
