Friday couldn't come fast enough. Not to say that the week was long and dull. In fact, it was quite eventful. But still, I was really excited for Friday to come, and it seemed to not want to arrive any sooner.Monday, I spent most of the day thinking about food. I had missed breakfast that morning, and lunch was taking too long to arrive. Even after lunch rolled around and I had eaten more than Tzuyu had, I was still hungry enough to eat a cow. After school, I begged Tzuyu to take me out to eat, so she took me to the nearest fast food restaurant and bought me an extremely greasy burger that I enjoyed way more than necessary. She also bought me a large serving of fries and a drink. I told her I could kiss her for being so generous. She promptly told me to pucker up and tried to kiss me. Needless to say, I slapped her. She grumbled grouchily the rest of the time spent in the fast food place and stole more than half of my fries because I'd hit her.
On Tuesday, Chaeyoung came up to me and Tzuyu as soon as we entered the school building. She immediately dragged me to the nearest restroom and told me that Tzuyu liked me. I told her she was crazy, and she said to ask her. We left the restroom to find, unsurprisingly, Tzuyu stood against the wall waiting for us. I told her what Chaeyoung said, and she immediately burst out laughing. I gave Chaeyoumg a smirk. I was right; she was crazy. When Tzuyu finally stopped laughing, she confirmed that she did like me, but only as a friend. Chaeyoung immediately accused her of lying and then dragged her away to have some sort of private discussion, telling me I could go ahead to class because they were going to take a minute. I did as she said, and when Tzuyu finally showed up to our first class— several minutes late—she was grouchy and refused to talk to me. At lunch, I asked Chaeyoung what she'd said to Tzuyu, and all she did was grin and tell me I would find out eventually.
Wednesday, after school and work, I went over to Tzuyu's house and played with Jackson. He had a wide variety of video games and game systems, so we played on several of them. He beat me at every single game. The sad thing, in my opinion, is that I didn't even let him win, he was just better than me at everything. When he grew bored of video games, we played with his toys instead. We raced his remote controlled monster trucks all throughout the third floor, which seriously annoyed Tzuyu. She ended up falling several times while attempting to avoid the trucks. She cursed Jackson out the last time, and made the little one cry. I held Jackson in my arms, called Tzuyu a meanie, and took Jackson to his room so that we could play in there instead. When Jackson no longer wanted to play, he told me why he decorated his room the way he did. He told me that he wanted each wall to be something about his family in some way. The wall with the sports posters was because his dad, oldest brother, and favorite cousin all played sports at some point or another. The wall with the family photos was obviously because he liked seeing his family all together and happy. The wall with his "artwork" was because he wanted to show off (that's actually what he told me). The sketches that covered the final wall, I was surprised to learn, were all Tzuyu's. I wanted to ask her why she didn't tell me she could draw, but she refused to talk to me.
On Thursday, as Tzuyu and I were walking to school, I asked her why she hadn't told me she could draw. She told me she thought she had, and when I told her she hadn't, she simply shrugged and we fell into silence. Throughout the day, I asked her about her drawings and if I could see any of the ones that weren't in Jackson's room. Every time I did, she distracted me by changing the subject. I brought it up again after the last bell, and she blew up at me before leaving me alone in the middle of the hallway. I walked home alone, trying to figure out why she'd gotten so upset about me wanting to see her sketches. I soon gave up though, because I knew thinking about it too much would put me in a bad mood. She called me later that night and apologized for yelling at me, blaming it on not feeling well. I forgave her, and we continued talking about anything and everything until almost three in the morning.
