I went back inside my house, still in shock. I hadn't thought that Tzuyu was serious when she told me weeks ago that she wanted to be my first kiss. Apparently, she had been, because she'd just kissed me.A stupid grin slowly spread across my face. Tzuyu kissed me! Tzuyu actually kissed me! I did a weird little happy dance and ran up to my room, ignoring the looks that I was receiving from Mom and Uncle Kai. For once, they hadn't been nosy and looking out the kitchen window, so they didn't know why I was grinning like a complete idiot.
When I made it to my room, I threw myself down on my bed and squealed into one of my pillows. I knew I was overreacting. I mean, it was just a kiss. But, it was my first kiss. And I was a girl, so I had the right to be girly over something as simple as a kiss. I just couldn't believe it. Tzuyu had kissed me! She'd actually kissed me!
"What're you so happy about?" my sister asked.
Oh shit! I forgot Dahyun was in here. I quickly sat up. "Um...nothin'," I answered, struggling to fight the grin.
My sister rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right. Spill it."
I couldn't fight the smile any longer. "Tzuyu kissed me," I blurted.
"She did?" she asked, seeming just as excited as I was. I nodded. "Yes!" she exclaimed. "I knew it! I knew she liked you!"
I rolled my eyes this time. "Oh God, she does not," I disagreed.
"Yes, She does," she insisted. "And you like her too!"
I scowled then. "No, I don't."
She crossed her arms over her chest. "Yes, you do. If you didn't, you wouldn't have gotten so excited about her kissing you."
"I'm a girl!" I protested. "I'm allowed to have girly moments."
She sighed. "Face it, unnie. You like her."
"No, I don't."
She rolled her eyes again. "Whatever. You'll figure out, eventually, that you do like her, and when you do, I'm gonna be there to say I told you so."
I got off my bed and went over to my closet. "You won't have to, because I don't like her. Now shut up and help me put this stuff away."
We spent almost an hour putting away my new clothes. It wouldn't have taken so long if Dahyun hadn't kept stopping to admire things. The clothes Tzuyu had bought me were more Dahyun's style than mine, but Tzuyu thought I looked good in all of them, so I'd bought them anyway. Besides, I thought I looked good in them too, so it was possible that I would wear some of them without Tzuyu's persuasion.
When we finished, Dahyun went to her own room and I changed into my pajamas. I grabbed my phone and slipped under my blankets, entertaining myself by watching random videos on the internet. It was almost midnight when my phone started ringing. I grinned when I saw who it was, and I quickly answered it.
"Hey," I greeted.
"Hey beautiful," Tzuyu replied. "Whatcha doin'?"
I grabbed a pillow and hugged it to my chest. "Well, I was watching a video of a cat doing something cute, but now I'm talking to you."
"Why were you watching a video of a cat doing something cute?" She asked. "Why not a dog video?"
I scowled. "I don't like dogs. They're weird and noisy and furry."
She chuckled. "I think you're thinking of shih tzus."
"Those bear like dogs too," I said. "I used to have a dog—well, Dahyun did—and that thing hated me, but it always wanted to sleep on my pillow for some reason. It was so annoying, having that stupid thing sleeping right in front of my face when I woke up every morning. And it always put itself in the weirdest positions. Some mornings, I would wake up, and it would look like it was dead. I would freak out because I thought it had died on my pillow, but then it would roll over onto its stomach, get up and just jump off my bed, leaving me to think it had come back from the dead or something."
She chuckled. "That's weird."
I nodded. "Yup, it sure is. So, what're you up to?"
"Babysitting," She answered. "As soon as I got home, my parents went out for a date night, and I've been watching Jackson since. The little monster finally went to sleep a few minutes before I called you."
I giggled. "He's not so bad. I like him."
My best friend scoffed. "Not so bad? You only say that because you haven't seen how evil he is. He's a monster, trust me."
"No, I will not," I said. "I know my boyfriend, and he is not evil in the slightest."
"Boyfriend?" Tzuyu asked.
I chuckled. "Yeah. Last Wednesday, when I was over there, he randomly called me his girlfriend. Apparently, I'm now in a relationship with a five-year old."
"Six," Tzuyu said. "He's six now. "His birthday was the 28th of March."
I giggled. "He was born on 28."
Tzuyu chuckled. "Yes, he was born on 28th of March at 11:11"
I laughed. "That's amazing! He was born when I was probably making a wish."
"My mother was making a wish too," she said. "She was wishing that big headed kid wouldjust come out already."
"Tzuyu, you're terrible," I said through my laughter.
"Maybe just a little," She said. "Hold on, give me a sec." I heard muffled voices through the phone. "I gotta go. My parents just came home, and they're bothering me about taking Jackson to his room."
I frowned. "Oh, okay."
"I'll call you tomorrow," she promised. "Better yet, I'll go over tomorrow, and we can do the whole fashion show again."
I snickered. "No way. I'm not prancing around in those clothes for you a second time."
"Then how about in no clothes?" She suggested jokingly.
"Not happening!" I exclaimed. "Go take my boyfriend to bed."
She laughed. "Alright, alright. I really am going over tomorrow. Be prepared to be annoyed."
"Okay, I will," I promised.
"Good. Later beautiful."
"Later Yoda.".
