It had been almost a week since my birthday, and I had yet to talk to Tzuyu. Not that I didn't try, it's just that every time I got near her, Mark or one of her friends would show up out of nowhere and lead me in a different direction while they talked my ears off.
So on Saturday, I went to Tzuyu's house. It made my life simpler. I could talk to Tzuyu about why she was lying to me, and I could see Jackson too. I really missed Jackson, and I just knew he missed me.
I rang the doorbell, and as always, the door opened immediately. I was greeted with a scowl.
"Well, if it isn't the woman who broke my siblings," Minhyuk said.
I smiled at him. "Are your siblings home?"
He sighed and stepped aside to let me in. "Jackson's running around with his little friend, and Tzuyu's in her room. I don't recommend going to Tzuyu's room though. She was busy last I checked on her."
I arched an eyebrow. "Busy?"
"Some girl's up there," he said as he shut the door. "And it's not the short dwarf that looked like a cub either."
"Short Dwarf that looked like a cub?" I inquired with a frown. Who could he have been talking about? And then I figured it out. Chaeyoung, he had to be talking about Chaeyoung, She was little, and she looked exactly like that cub in Zootopia for reasons I didn't understand. "Chaeyoung, her name's Chaeyoung."
He nodded. "Yeah her. She's not up there. It's some caramel haired woman. Don't go up there. When she got here, she was wearing a tank top and shorts, and Tzuyu seemed to appreciate it."
I felt a strange feeling in my stomach when he said that, but I ignored it. It was probably just cramps. Stupid period being on the scene.
"Mom's in the kitchen if you want to see her," he said, breaking me out of my thoughts.
I nodded. "Thanks. Hey, why are you being so...decent?"
He shrugged. "I'd rather not get my nose broken again," he said. "Besides, you're not half bad." He patted my head before going upstairs.
I frowned. "Well, that was odd." I shrugged it off and went into the kitchen. "I'm home!" I cried.
Almost immediately, I was crushed into a hug. "Oh it's about time you showed up!" Victoria squealed. "Those children have been going crazy without you, hell even Minhyuk missed you."
I gasped. "Can't...breathe!"
Victoria released me after another second. "Sorry, sweetheart, I just missed you is all. It's hard being the only bit of estrogen in a house full of testosteron, Hell even Tzuyu acts like a guy."
I grimaced at her words. "Eww Victoria."
She chuckled. "Sorry, I forgot you're a teenager, and those words are weird to you." She waved a hand, dismissing the topic. "Anyway, how have you been?"
I smiled. "Pretty good. Some girl at school was bothering me over something stupid for couple weeks, but it's fine now."
Victoria arched an eyebrow. "Why was she bothering you?"
I rolled my eyes. "She's jealous because I'm with Mark, and she wants him."
"You're still with Mark?" she asked. "I'm surprised. Mark never keeps a girlfriend this long."
I shrugged, a slight grin on my face. "I guess I'm special."
"You must be," she said. "Now, which one of the kids are you looking for?"
