December 29. Yes, You've got that right, It's my Birthday. Isn't it great? Just four days after Christmas, It's already my birthday. More gifts for me!

Though it isn't even Valentines today, nor near it, People still disgusts me with their never ending PDA. It's just annoying how they would randomly kiss everywhere they go, I mean like there might be children around them! Geez.

Alright, now that you know why I hate my BirthDay, I have to really explain the second reason. You see, with Birthday being the day of my birthday, my birthday is often pushed to the side. When I was young, my parents would always go out on my birthday. And as I grew older, instead of my parents going out, Uncle Kai would take Mom out on a date every year, so Dahyun and I would spend my birthday together. And then Dahyun got a girlfriend, and I had to spend my birthday alone. So you see, I'm always alone on my birthday.

This year would be different though. I had a boyfriend this year, so I wouldn't have to spend the day alone. Nope, instead I would spend the day with Mark. At least, that had been my hope.

"Babe, I'm really sorry, but I just can't. Mom said that I have to watch Mei and her friends today," Mark said.

I pouted, ignoring the fact that he couldn't see me through the phone. "But Mark, I was really hoping that we could do something today."

He sighed. "I know, I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you, I promise. I gotta go. Bye babe."

I sighed. "Bye—" The call disconnected before I could finish my statement. I sighed again and tossed my phone to the floor before flopping onto my bed. "The one year I thought I wouldn't be alone."

"Hey unnie," Dahyun said as she came into my room. "These came for you."

I sat up, my jaw dropping at the large bouquet of white roses she carried. "What the hell?"

She handed them to me. "And these," she said, passing me a box of chocolates.

I set the box of chocolates on my bed and searched for the card in the flowers.

Happy Friendship Day,

I hope you like the flowers and chocolates. I would've gotten you real flowers, but plastic ones will never die, just like my love for you.

Love,

Yoda

I smiled. "Aww, that alien does have a heart."

My sister arched an eyebrow. "Who are they from?"

"Tzuyu," I said. "I have to call her. Oh God, Dahyun I'm terrible! I haven't talked to her in like a month, and she still sent me flowers."

"And fancy chocolates," Dahyun added.

I glared at her. "Way to make me feel worse." I stood up and placed the flowers on my desk.

"Unnie, look at the chocolates," Dahyun said. She had opened the box while I was turned around.

I took the box from her and frowned. "White chocolate?"

"Don't you love white chocolate?"

"Yeah, it's my favorite, but I'm just surprised She remembered," I said. "I have to go see her. She's so sweet, and I'm just terrible."

"You just got into a relationship, She'll understand why you haven't been paying her any attention," my sister assured me. "And she must not mind if she sent you this stuff."

I sighed as I put the lid back on the box of chocolates. "I still feel bad. I'm a terrible best friend." I snatched up my phone and exited my room, my twin following behind.
