Annabeth had packed her things early in the morning and said goodbye to her ward mates and headed for Jasmine's cabin. Annabeth had been halfway there when she heard a slight sound behind her. She carefully drew her dagger which she always kept somewhere near her and making as little noise as possible lowered her back to a tree. It could have always been a animal but Annabeth knew the sound well and could already tell they were a mans boots. When she knew the attacked was about to come around the tree with one swift movement she tripped him and held the dagger at his throat. "What do you think your doing" said the man struggling to break free. For the first time she got a good look at the man enough to know he was a villager probably out hunting.
"My apologies I thought" paused Annabeth not completely sure how to finish that sentence. The man got back up and muttered something about reckless kids and walked off. Though just before Annabeth turned back around she was lucky enough to see the scar that ran deep in his neck. Whenever she made it to Jasmines cabin she knocked firmly on the door and heard a muffled come in. For the first time Annabeth got a good look at Jasmine she had slick black hair and was slight in built which was strange considering the fact that everyone seemed to be afraid of her.
"Looking at something girl" asked Jasmine raising a eyebrow in her direction. "No sorry" said Annabeth a little more annoyed with herself. Jasmine took another look then turned around attending to the stove. After about five minutes of silence Annabeth coughed hoping to get her attention. Jasmine turned around and sighed "what is it with young people coughing when they really wanna just ask a question". Annabeth was about to say something when she decided that it might not be wise. Luckily for her before Jasmine could speak again there was a knock at the door,
