The next day the 3 companions reached the village around dinner time and Jasmine stopped to have a word with everyone. "Alright so when when we get to the gate we will ask to see the village elder leave the talking to me we'll explain our situation and if he agrees will start training the local villagers" explained Jasmine. The way Jasmine was talking she made it seem so simple. "So I'm guessing you'll be training the soldiers while Bryson and I buy us the time we need" asked Annabeth. "Actually no you will be in charge of battle planning and training the soldiers I'll go with Bryson after all this was your plan" said Jasmine.
Annabeth recoiled in shock she had mentioned her idea to Jasmine but didn't actually think she was going to use it. "You mean we are actually going through with that idea" asked Annabeth. "Well it seems efficient and might actually be our best shot to weaken Salem's forces" said Jasmine. Honestly Jasmine was quite impressed when she heard the idea it was the kinda clever thinking that came with being a runner but would never mention that to Annabeth. "Anything specific you would like me to do" asked Bryson. "Yes actually if the village elder asks for proof you will tell him everything you told us" said Jasmine looking at Bryson.
Bryson nodded is acknowledgement and the three of them rode off toward the village gate. When they reached the gate the sentry held up his spear to stop them. "What is your business here" asked the sentry. "We're kings runners we bring news of a attack of 50 men and wish to speak to the village elder" said Jasmine. The sentry looked a little shocked but still singled his men to fetch the village elder. "He caved just like that" asked Bryson to Annabeth. "Jasmine is a very hard person to refuse as I'm sure you've noticed" replied Annabeth. A few minutes later the other sentry came back "the village elder will see you now".
