Annabeth stood at her command position with Jasmine as the village got into formation. "Commander the enemy is approaching" called a lookout the one they called Michel. The army approached with their battle suits on and their long swords with their commander following behind. Annabeth glanced at Bryson who gave a uneasy nod but his eyes were a completely different matter. "Ok you guys are going to fight together you see one breakthrough in the line you block it as if it were your life's purpose understood" called Jasmine to the villagers. Each one gave a slight nod and then focused on the enemy.
"Commander enemy advancing" called a voice to hard to recognize. The group of assassins charged toward the front line drawing their swords. But when they reached the front line it was as if it was made of steel the had tried to finds whole or any weak point but their shields offered no such luck. Then their was a cry from one of the commanders and before they had time to react a shower of javelins were thrown on a good part of their numbers creating a massacre of screams. The assassins then knew one thing they have never known before in their life fear.
The commander of Salem's small invasion stood watching it all unfold they were losing to a bunch of useless farmers and tinkers with some unmovable wall. Before he could protest whatever was left of his army started to retreat. "Get back their you fools" he called but he saw the look in their eyes many of these men had rarely lost a battle and now here they were getting beaten by a bunch of villagers. "We underestimated their commander sir" said one of his men. "Perhaps we just overestimated you Salem will be hearing of this" said the commander coldly. But the were right so he knew he had to except the inevitable and ordered a full retreat. But despite what had happened today we wasn't going back to Salem empty handed.
