Bryson and Jasmine waited concealed by the shadows in the forest waiting for any sign of movement. Jasmine glared at Bryson who shifted in his spot for about the 3rd time in the past 5 minutes. "Do you think you could stay still" asked Jasmine in a whisper. "I hate this just waiting for something to happen why don't we just go find the carrier and attack it from there" asked Bryson. Jasmine sighed for the short time she had known this young man she had learned he used more his instincts than his head. "We need the element of surprise if we are going to take this carrier" explained Jasmine. Now it was Bryson's turn to sigh these girls were causing him more trouble than he deserved and yet.
"Here they come do you know what to do" asked Jasmine. She had drilled him on this before but it never hurt to make sure. "Distract them while you hit them from behind" said Bryson nodding his head. Jasmine nodded approvingly and moved off silently disappearing into the shadows. Bryson shuddered it still creeped him out when they did that he had learned from his previous encounter with Annabeth that these runners aren't to be sneezed at. Then his thoughts were interrupted when Jasmine gave him the signal. Bryson waited for the carrier to move a little closer when he stepped out from the shadows. "Halt what is your business here" asked Bryson in a serious tone. "Well if it isn't the little assassin traitor" said the person he recognized as Jack.
Bryson stopped cold he naturally assumed nobody had heard of his business with the runners. "I'm not a traitor if I choose to leave when the commander has lost his senses" said Bryson. Where is Jasmine thought Bryson as he brought his hand down to his dagger. "So what your joining up with the puny runners now while they slink in the shadows and hide" asked Jack smirking. Little did Bryson know Jack had seen the encounter between him and the two runners. "Now I'm gonna run you through" said Jack pulling back his dagger.
