Annabeth felt her hear beat in her chest this guy might be older and overweight but if he was a assassin commander their was a reason for that and to top it all of she was unarmed. She had accidentally left her throwing stars in the room and if Jasmine could see her now she would be livid. Dunmer drew something from his left pocket it was no bigger than a pin needle but that was when Allison understood what kind of assassin he was. He mastered in poison they carried no weapons other than a needle that could end your life in one prick. "Got to admit kid I never thought you would figure it out such a shame to you would have made one hell of a assassin" said Dunmer.
He kept talking but Annabeth wasn't listening a idea was forming in her head she remembered the two flashers one her belt that were meant to signaling if she could get a signal into Jasmine's window before he hit her. Annabeth dove forward before he could react and took out his legs then grabbed her flashers. But Dunmer was quick he already had a grip on her ankle smacking her to the floor. "Huh maybe I was wrong you are just another runner lying dead in a grave" said Dunmer bringing that needle closer to her neck. Annabeth found another surge of energy and kneed him in the gut and was able to find her footing and was able to send a signal into the window.
But her victory didn't last long as she felt a sinking sense of exhaustion as a needle picked the back of her neck. Her legs cave in under neath her and all her will to move slipped away. The last thing she remembered before it all went black was Jasmine and Bryson running towards her.
