Chapter 30

It had all happened in a matter of seconds Annabeth was having a hard time taking it in. After the assassins had retreated Annabeth had run down to congratulate the village and make sure Bryson was ok but when she had a group of higher skilled assassins dropped in and knocked Jasmine out before she even knew what was happening. Annabeth had tried to make it to her but she was to late the assassins took her and had already made it back to the ground. With all she had she wanted to go save Jasmine but the assassins still had some numbers and if she went after her she would only get herself killed or captured and that wouldn't help Jasmine at all. So after screaming to Jasmine she would find her she excepted in inevitable and returned to the village where Bryson was waiting.
"Where is Jasmine" asked Bryson when he saw Annabeth approach alone. "They got her I was too late" said Annabeth now walking past him. Bryson was speechless he had never known her to give up on anyone or anything espresso  Jasmine. "We can't just leave her" said Bryson still a little shocked. "We're not going to but I couldn't just rush that group without a plan we need to think this through and gather resources" said Annabeth. Bryson knew she was right but all the same Salem's hatred for Jasmine was strong and when those freaks delivered her their was no telling what he would do. "So I'm correct in assuming you and I are going on another adventure" asked Bryson. Annabeth turned around puzzled.
"You didn't actually think you were leaving me behind" said Bryson it was a statement on a question. Actually Annabeth had been secretly hoping Bryson would want to come but figured he had his own agenda. "I know the territory well and I have a couple of allies to get us through traitor or not" said Bryson. "Well then I assume I'll enjoy having you along" said Annabeth with a small smile. "So what's your plan" asked Bryson raising a eyebrow.
