"Stance 3 position 2" called Annabeth to the crowd of villagers displayed on the battlefield. Annabeth sighed this was proving to be more difficult than she had thought. She would undoubtedly have trouble spotting the enemy and that would make it difficult to call the positions. "No rest for the weary then" asked Bryson who had just appeared behind her. Annabeth have him a half hearted smile and then ordered the villagers to take a break. "What's the problem" asked Bryson eyeing her as he sat down next to her. "I can't keep a eye on the enemy and call positions at the same time" said Annabeth frustrated.
"Well if you want I can call positions while you keep a eye on the enemy" suggested Bryson. "Wait what really" asked Annabeth a little more than surprised. She knew what changing loyalties was a big thing for a assassin and it hadn't been easy on Bryson and now here he was still offering his help. "Look I know what your thinking and I want you to know I wanna help you Salem was a overconfident bastard who didn't deserve it but you I have a feeling are worth fighting for" said Bryson giving her a reassuring look. "I hope I haven't disappointed you" said Annabeth feeling strangely uncomfortable. "I don't think you could" said Bryson.
Then the two of them sat in companionable silence watching the sunset over the mountains. Annabeth thought about what her life was a couple months ago sitting alone in the orphanage and now she was here with what was starting to feel like a home. Annabeth froze at that thought a home a few years ago would have sounded absurd now she was here with Jasmine who took her under her wing and here with Bryson who willing helped her from the moment they met without really any knowledge of her. A few minutes later the dinner bell rang. "Come on let's go get something to eat" said Bryson reaching out his hand.
