Annabeth woke in her bed at the village inn shivering she felt colder than she ever had before. She felt completely sick and drowsy like all she wanted to do was sleep but she couldn't. Then she sudden remembered that stupid needle that had gotten her right after she had gotten Dunmer. She looked down to find a blood filled patch on her leg and then realized Dunmer must have stabbed her. "You forgot your throwing stars" said a irritated voice from behind her. She turned around to see Jasmine glaring at her she wasn't sure when she had entered the room. "Believe me when I say I won't be making that mistake again" said Annabeth her voice a little scratchy.
"Do you realize you would be dead right now if Bryson and I would have been a second later" said Jasmine her voice rising. Annabeth turned to look at Jasmine raising a eyebrow knowing the only reason Jasmine was angry was because she was concerned. "You also realize that someone had to stop Dunmer before he got away" said Annabeth rationally. Jasmine sighed she knew Annabeth was right but she hadn't realized how close she had come to dying when Bryson had reached her she wasn't breathing and was bleeding heavily. Then something dawned on Annabeth today was the day before the battle.
"The villager they should be practicing" said Annabeth now alert starting to rise. But Jasmine's hand stopped her "Bryson took care of that what you need to do is stay exactly where you are in bed" said Jasmine her face showing no further argument. Annabeth hated sitting around especially the day before the battle but it got a little better when Bryson finally came in. "You scared the hell out of me I thought you were dead" said Bryson half angry and just kinda relieved she was ok. "Well I'm good at surviving or he is bad at killing" said Annabeth smiling. Bryson smiled happy to see she was exactly the way she had been before. "Tomorrow is a big day" said Bryson sitting down. "Let's make it count" said Annabeth and the two of them sat in comfortable silence.
