"Annabeth I'm not sure if your aware but your a girl" said the Baron in a slightly humorous tone. Annabeth looked around the room and she wasn't sure if it was the snickering or the grins breaking out but she knew exactly what she was going to say. "What I am aware of is that I'm quick on feet, stronger than I look, and smarter than you think so yes I am a girl but that's no reason to turn me down" said Annabeth looking him in the eye. While she was speaking she caught a glimpse of Jasmine and wasn't sure how or why but she almost saw a look of approval. The Baron looked speechless nobody had ever spoken to him like that before. "I'm not spoken to in that fashion young lady you will apologize to me and then you will be sent to the fields to begin your work as a framer" said the Baron trying to retain his dignity.
"My lord there is something you should know" said Jasmine who suddenly appeared next to the Baron. Annabeth was shocked she hadn't excepted anyone to take pity on her especially not the runner. Jasmine reached into her back pocket and pulled out a sheet of paper and handed it to the Baron. "Jasmine are you sure about this" asked the Baron. Jasmine nodded her head once the stepped back to her concealed position waiting for a response.
"Alright Annabeth you have been excepted as a apprentice to Jasmine to be trained as a runner" said the Baron still a little less than pleased. Annabeth stood in shock it had been over 6 years since someone had been apprenticed as a Runner especially to Jasmine who seemed a little grim. After the ceremony had ended and she now laid in bed she knew her life would change.
