Jasmine's and Annabeth took turns riding while the other one walked with the prisoner. Finally Jasmine signaled Annabeth for her turn to walk so she got off of Knight and Jasmine got on Russell. "Well most men would have had your silence as off putting but I'll have a challenge" said Bryson. "I'll bet you will" said Annabeth regarding him coldly. Jasmine looked over at her apprentice as clueless as she may be to the fact it was quite obvious that the boy admired her. "So what exactly makes you think you'll be able to stop the assassins raid" asked Bryson. Annabeth thought before answering he was actually right it's not as if Jasmine and her could stand in front of a army of 50 assassins traitors and say by order of the king leave now.
"Well by the time we get their say 2 days we will still have a week to train soldiers and make a battle plan" said Annabeth. "Where are you planning to get these soldiers" asked Bryson. Truly there was really only one real possible way although Bryson didn't seem to be getting it. "Well the villagers of course" said Annabeth mostly to herself hoping it didn't seem as stupid as she thought it did. "The villagers are you kidding me" asked Bryson like the idea was utterly ridiculous. "No I'm not no matter what you think people have a way of surprising you if you put them in the right direction" said Annabeth with new found confidence.
"I'm well aware of people surprising you" said Bryson indicating her starring throw pack. Annabeth scoffed and ruled her eyes but said nothing further. "Do you really think you can do it" asked Bryson a little more seriously. "No I know I can do it" said Annabeth a little shocked she actually meant it. Bryson just nodded somehow deep down he knew she would too he wasn't sure how but knew that this girl wasn't one to be trifled with.
