The next day Jasmine and Bryson had set out to intercept a shipment of weapons and supplies that was being delivered to Salem while Annabeth was stuck with the task of convincing whatever villagers she could to fight. Annabeth hid in the shadows behind the stage while Dumner introduced the situation. She had no idea what she was going to say but knew she would need everyone of them if this was going to work. "Now this is my good friend Annabeth and right now she needs you to step forward and help protect our kingdom" said Dunmer.
"Dumner do you except us to just go out in fight against one of the biggest threats to the kingdom with a child leading us" yelled one of the villagers. Annabeth stepped forward "Look I could make you do this tell your elder that every single one of u will fight or die but I'm not I'm asking you your right you could just run away but if you do their might no be anything to come back to this is your home protect it" said Annabeth silencing the village. There was suddenly a silent agreement among the villagers when the child spoke because they knew she was right.
"Their will be a meeting tomorrow if you are going to make a stand be their if you are not be gone by next week that's when they will be here" said Annabeth as she left the stage. Annabeth made her way to the inn and ordered a cup of coffee that was very desperately needed. About 15 minutes later Dumner walked in and sat down next to her. "Please tell me half the village isn't gone by now" said Annabeth with a sigh looking at Dumner. "No actually I think you knocked a bit of sense of them" said Dumner shaking his head. Actually Dumner had been the most touched someone so young getting ready to give up everything maybe even her own life just to help a small village that she had no relation to. "Kid as stupid or cheesy as this may sound you may be the future of this kingdom" said Dumner getting up.
