Bryson ducked out of the way just before Jack launched his attack and drew his own dagger. But Jack was swift and threw a backhand strike that forced Bryson to give ground. Even though Jack was swift Bryson was strong and he hit a overhead getting Jack of guard. Wherever Jasmine is she better hurry up thought Bryson as he ditched another attack from Jack. Bryson dove out the way then grabbed Jacks hand making him drop the dagger but unfortunately Jack had a backup and it would have slit his throat if a throwing star hadn't gone through his chest.
Bryson stood back to catch his breath when Jasmine appeared out of the shadows. "Where the hell were you" asked Bryson still in shock from the past couple seconds that nearly cost him his life. "Damn assassins came up behind me I never saw them coming before they were on me" said Jasmine. Honestly Jasmine had been watching the exchange between Bryson and the commander to test Bryson's loyalty. "Do you have any idea how close that was especially after I risked my loyalty and life to help you" asked Bryson angrily. "Yes why did you after all when I left you alone you had every opportunity to run" asked Jasmine raising a eyebrow. Bryson considered before answering he hadn't really had any will to escape. "I guess it's because when you find something that great you never let it go because you know you'll never get it back again" said Bryson walking towards the carrier.
Jasmine didn't have to ask what Bryson meant it was very clear that he liked Annabeth as oblivious as she might be to the fact he had every reason to. She put the thought aside and moved to the carrier and pushed open the doors with Bryson. When they opened the door their was everything from spears to sword and pure iron shields and even a few hundred bows for archers. "I think it's time we report back to my apprentice" said Jasmine with a satisfied look.
