They were both called into an office as they took seats next to each other, without looking down they both fumbled for each other's hands. The woman had brown, slicked back bun in her hair with a pink blouse, covered by a grey jacket. The lawyer was quite direct

"Hello, from my understanding you've been trying to open a case, looking for some answers, and that has failed multiple times, so you're coming to me as a last resort."

Calvin looked petrified and all the color was drained from his face, Katrina had to answer

"Uhm, yes ma'am. We just need some help."

The woman nodded, jotting down notes "Tell me everything"

The friends sat up and spilled their hearts out.

On the other side of the world, Leo sat outside in the garden, eating a piece of corn brea while on his phone. he didn't what Katrina had been doing the past few days. Dating a YouTuber was hard, but at least he knew her friends and some stories about her from fans.

The paparazzi was completely obsessed with what she was doing. There were pictures everywhere of her going into a lawyers office, along with many theories as to why. He obviously knew why, but what he didn't understand was, why her ex friend Lauren wasn't saying anything, and that made him nervous.

He wasn't jealous of the boy standing next to her either, his name was Calvin. He was that one thing besides Conor that no one talked about, it was like a forbidden word. Few knew about him and it seemed like she liked to keep it that way. She didn't even mention him to Leo. But he found out from a fan that went to school with Katrina, which was a good piece of information to know about, since it was a touchy subject.

He missed Katrina a lot, and he wished he could just take a flight to New York to be next to her but he couldn't and he was so frustrating. He wouldn't be surprised if she went out with Ryan or Calvin. It was his fault now, and he didn't blame her for being distant.

Leo traced over his buttercup tattoo and smiled as he reached for his phone, going towards Katrina's contact.

But in New York, the meeting was over, and Katrina had decided to go out to lunch with Calvin for some Mexican food in Manhattan. She put her phone on the table and kept glaring at it, as Calvin noticed her change in behavior

"Waiting for someone?" Calvin asked,  taking off his jacket to reveal his white a black baseball Styled shirt.

Katrina drew her attention back to Calvin as he sipped his soda

"Uh not really" she said, clearly lying as she flipped her phone over, then stuffing it into her purse.

"You know it's okay right? I understand  if you're in a relationship. I won't get offended" he said, pushing around the napkins on the table

"Me? I mean, I am but-"

"It's complicated?" Calvin said, assuming from the facial expression she made.

She nodded

"Look, things are really awkward, there's an elephant in the room that we need to get rid of and just, let's just-"

Katrina finished his sentence "Talk about something else, so, how's your job?"

Calvin had an immediate smile on his face "Oh Kat it is insanely awesome, I love it so much, I wouldn't want to work anywhere else."

Calvin worked as a graphic design artist and has done editing and advertising for food, Apple products, and many other big corporations. Seeing Calvin happy made Katrina happy.

"What about you? I mean the palette dropped your-"

Katrina raised an eyebrow "Wait, you know about that?"

Calvin took a bite of the nachos "If course, I ordered it, it's actually hanging in my office in a picture frame. I'm so proud to see that you've come this far, to be honest."

Katrina had an instant smile and couldn't resist laughing a bit "Oh gosh, that just made me the happiest girl alive."

Calvin smiled "You should be, you've accomplished a lot."

"Look who's talking! You have too"

Both of them got deep into conversation, talking about every aspect of life and such. They couldn't stop laughing and fooling around. The manager even came over and asked them to leave in a little bit, it was getting close to closing time. Yes, they were there for several hours.

And just when Leo leaves and Calvin comes to the rescue as a good friend he pulls her right back in with a phone call

"Is that your phone?" Calvin said, listening to the ring

Katrina nodded as she answered, walking outside of the restaurant.

"Katrina? It's Leo, I just really- need to talk, we need to fix this"
