Leo was extremely nervous about today. More nervous then any game or any penalty shot he's ever taken. This was one of the hardest things to do in his entire life and he was mentally freaking out. His stomach was on a roller coaster that couldn't come to a halt. The worse part was, he couldn't even tell Katrina about how nervous he was. It would ruin absolutely everything he's worked for. One of the worse parts was he couldn't even dress up. He had to go from practice, straight to her parent's house which sucked because he barely had any time

So he drove down to her parent's house as nervous as could be, and arrived at their doorstep. He mother answered the door with a smile.

"I knew you'd be back in a couple weeks, you can come in" she said motioning to him to come into her house.

He sat down at the kitchen table as she got him a cup of tea, her father sat down

"Oh, hi Leo, what brings you here today? That was quite random." He said as Leo got nervous again.

Her mother sat down next to her father as Leo was starting to miss his better half, her mother knew what was happening, he father on the other hand, had no idea

"Well, I have a question to ask you two about."

They stayed silent, waiting for Leo to continue

"I would like to marry your daughter."

Judging by her fathers expression, it was almost like you'd have to pick his jaw up from the floor, which is not the expression he'd hope for

"You what?" He asked, crossing his arms across his chest

"I'd like to marry your daughter, sir I'm asking for your blessing."

Her mother smiled "Well, it's a yes for me love, I think you're perfect for her."

Leo smiled while twiddling his thumbs as he looked over at her father "No" he said simply as Leo was shocked, honestly, he didn't prepare for that answer

"No?" Leo said, he wasn't sure how to respond

"No, Leo you're a nice boy, but for my daughter? No."

Her mother looked over at her husband "Hun please, we are not having this discussion now, this boy will take care of her, and I know that. You know that, he has good intentions and seems like he knows what he wants."

He shook his head "My final answer is no, but knowing him he'll probably propose to her anyway. He probably already bought a ring for her didn't he?"

Leo nodded, taking the velvet box out of his pocket and sliding it across the table.

Her mother opened it and started crying

"Leo this is gorgeous! She's going to adore it, I know so!"

"Leo man, are you sure about this?" Neymar asked, resting a hand on her shoulder.

Leo nodded "Absolutely, I knew it from the day I met her, I just need the perfect ring. And that's going to be difficult, personally I think she needs all the rings and all the diamonds in the world. Like I wish I can get her enormous diamonds but I know she hates that. Personally, I like the flashy look though, she's mine and I also wish everyone could figure that out. She just doesn't like the big diamonds and the glam. Well, at least that's what I know from three years of knowing her and from Kara and Alexandra"

Gerard laughed "You really are serious huh? Interesting, yeah she's cool."

All of Leo's friends were currently in front of the jewelry counter to provide him advice.

"Ooh I like this one." Neymar said, picking up a ring and putting it on

"Marc! Propose to me, nah I'm kidding, this one is just really nice."

Marc rolled his eyes and checked his phone "I would never Ney, you're so dumb" he said, everyone laughed

Leo took it off his hand "Actually, I kind of like this one, I'd make some changes on the setting, make it a little fancier, but yeah I like it." Leo said seriously as he stared in awe at the ring

Gerard laughed "Wait, so you're going with the one Ney picked out? I would never take his advice

Gerard laughed "Wait, so you're going with the one Ney picked out? I would never take his advice."

"Well, for once, I'm actually going to take his advice. At least a little bit, the ring is semi perfect for her."

Everyone nodded in agreement as Marc patted his back "Well Leo, you've picked the right girl"

Leo smiled "I couldn't agree more"

Leo stared at the ring that he had picked out a few weeks ago on the table, he heard Katrina in his head

"Whatever happens, I love you"

Even though her father was currently saying no, Leo wanted to marry her anyway but he didn't know how much of a good idea that was.

"It's nice but I can promise you that I won't be attending that damn wedding" He said, leaving the table abruptly

Leo had a lump in his throat as her mom noticed his disappointment

"Leo I'm going to give you a piece of advice and I sure as hell hope you take it. Please don't listen to her father, he knows nothing about her. He won't attend the wedding, and I can tell you that much. But in all my years, I have never seen my daughter love someone so much. I'm extremely close with her and I can tell that you would never break her heart. If my daughter doesn't have that ring on her finger soon, I will be completely surprised in you. She loves you, so go marry her."

She said, handing the box back into his hand as she cupped her hands around the box and onto his hands as he walked out of the house with his head hanging, that went worse then loosing a game

He wanted to marry Katrina, he really did. But was fighting her father worth it? Would she be disappointed that he wasn't there? How would she react? Would she leave him? Leo was in a bind, and he had no way to fix this.
