"So all you have to say is 'spots on,' and I'll transform you," Tikki told Mirielle.
"Spots on, Tikki?" She tried, before a huge swarm of pink lights surrounded her. A whimper escaped her throat as she felt her clothing being replaced so quickly.
Before she knew it, she was wearing the same ladybug-themed spandex suit Marinette had worn.
"It's skin-tight! Do I look inappropriate?!" She asked, looking around for Tikki.
"Tikki? Oh..." She asked before the realization hit her that Tikki was absorbed into her earrings.
She nervously walked out of her room, about to ask her mother if it were appropriate on her.
You have to keep your identity hidden, Mirielle! You look fine! Marinette wore it and no one except Theo and Chat Noir hit on her.
She walked back to her room mumbling, "Isn't Theo an adult?" Shaking her head, she realized that this wasn't her thinking voice.
"Tikki, is that you?" She asked the high-pitched voice she heard from an echo in her mind
Yes! Now climb out the window and use your yoyo to swing from building to building.
"If that's how it works," she replied nervously.
She opened her window and hesitantly put one foot out but then put it back in.
"This is scary. What if I fall?" she muttered to her new kwami.
Come on Mirielle! I believe you can do it! Marinette believed you could do it! Just throw your yoyo and you'll fly along with it once it's attached to something! It's completely safe, I can assure you. None of my Ladybug holders became pancakes after using their yoyo.
"Tikki? Are you sure?" She asked.
Mmhmm! Trust me on this. You'll do great!
"Okay then. I'll do it," she told the kwami as she braced herself for action.
She carefully stepped on the ledge outside and threw her yoyo as far as she could while still holding on the the string.
As she threw it, she lost her balance and slipped from the ledge. With the luck of Ladybug, the yoyo started pulling her away just as she was about to hit the ground.
She fled through the air as the yoyo pulled her toward her unintended destination.
Meanwhile, Chat Noir sat on a ledge of the Eiffel Tower, still mourning over Marinette's death. He narrowed his eyes at a flying screaming person who was hurdling through the air with a yoyo. The familiar sight of a red and black spandex suit on a blue-haired girl looked too good to be true.
He couldn't believe his eyes!
Was that his lady?
Why was she screaming like that?
Like the first time he met Marinette, she had seemed unconfident with her new powers... Just like now?
He was shocked as he saw Ladybug hurdling through the air at the Eiffel Tower. When she was finally thrown against the ground with impact, she groaned. His lady! She had come back for him! Was that really her?
His eyes blurred with tears of joy. Chat Noir ran to her, pulling her into a tight hug. "L-Ladybug" He whispered tearfully.
Mirielle felt her face flash a bright red as Chat Noir hugged her and sobbed. She hadn't intended on introducing herself so soon and now it was too late.
Mirielle, he thinks you're Marinette... I think he deserves to know that you're not her.
Just as she was going to tell him, he whispered, "I knew you'd come back for me, Princess."
She couldn't find herself to say the words. He was hurting so much, and it would absolutely destroy his heart to tell him that his Ladybug was already being replaced by none other than the shyest weather forecaster ever, herself. Instead, she hugged him back, knowing she'd have to come clean next time.
