After she had her small talk with Alya, a dumb idea came to her mind, and she wasn't sure at all about it.

Would it hurt to try it? Mirielle thought to herself, but immediately tried to turn away from the idea.

But... she could make all of them happy again! She could cheer up Paris!

When she arrived back home, her mother had fallen asleep waiting for her on the couch.

"I'm sorry, Mama," she whispered as she kissed her mother's cheek and pulled a blanket over her.

She walked into her room and saw Tikki looking stressed. When she saw Mirielle, she looked relieved and excited.

"Mirielle! You came back! I'm sorry about earlier... I should've been more sympathetic. I felt terrible about what you said... I hope you still would like to continue with me as Ladybug, that is if you're okay with it," she looked to Mirielle hopefully.

"Yes, Tikki!" She excitedly giggled because she knew she could definitely make people happier with her new plan.

"In fact, I should start right now! Tikki, spots on!" She exclaimed.

She transformed and used to yoyo to get back to the Eiffel Tower.

"Alya! Alya! I'm back! I'm here for you!" She yelled as she tried to catch her breath.

"L-Ladybug? Th-this can't be possible. We buried you... Is this a dream?" She turned ghost-pale.

"Alya, I reincarnated! It really is me! I'm Marinette!" She exclaimed. Immediately, she recoiled in the realization of what a dumb idea this was.

Mirielle Casquet! What on Earth are you doing?!Tikki scolded her.

Alya's eyes lit up and she bursted out sobbing and hugging Mirielle.

Dumb idea. Dumb idea! Never mind! Go back! Tell her the truth! Mirielle's mind went berserk trying to convince herself. She regretted everything so much already and this was just the beginning.

"Girl! I missed you so much!! I would've done anything to get you back here! I'm so happy you're back!" She had her arms wrapped tightly around Mirielle's small shoulders.

Well, Mirielle thought, I probably should go through with this. It already made Alya so happy, but for the wrong reasons. Mirielle wasn't Marinette, and Chat Noir was convinced as well as Alya.

"I-I missed you too..." Mirielle nervously continued. So much guilt was already piling in her. Marinette would be so disappointed, she thought.

"Does Adrien know?!" Alya asked her excitedly.

"Uhh... no. The only other person that thi- I mean knows is Chat Noir," she told Alya, cringing at her own actions.

"Do you mind if this goes on my LadyBlog?!" She asked her.

Oh no, Mirielle thought, please don't do it.

"No!! I mean- go ahead? Or don't! Whatever you want to do!" She replied awkwardly.

Mirielle, this is a bad idea! Are you sure you want to do this?

"I already messed up... Help," Mirielle whispered to Tikki silently.

I'm not onboard with this idea but if you want to do it, it's your responsibility to clean up your mess!

"I'll- I don't know. I'm already in too deep!" Mirielle told the kwami, louder than she expected.

"Huh?" Alya asked as she started setting up her phone camera.

"Nothing," she giggled nervously and smiled cringingly.

"Okay girl! Get ready for the camera in 3, 2, 1! Go!" She told her.

"So hello Paris citizens! There's no reason to fear or be sad anymore! It's I, Ladybug! I'm reincarnated because I noticed how sad all of you were when I died. I promise, I'm not leaving ever again!"

"Well folks, you heard it from Ladybug, herself! Or Marinette, as we all know her not-so secret identity now! Stay tuned for more Ladybug news!" She excitedly said into the camera before turning it off. She uploaded it to the Ladyblog in a matter of seconds.

Mirielle felt this upsetting feeling in the pit of her stomach. She did not like it and she knew exactly what it was.

"Girl! You should detransform so we can hang out at school again!" Alya insisted.

"Oh, um... You see... Hehe! I actually... Can't take off the mask! It's a whole part of the reincarnation thing; you know how it goes?" She managed to say, even as the guilt was destroying her stomach.

Alya shrugged but still smiled.

"Whatever, we should hang out! Wanna come over to my house tomorrow?" She offered.

"Yeah... Sounds great. What time?" She asked, hating every second she pretended to be her second cousin.

"Around five in the afternoon?" Alya asked.

"Sure! I'll be there!" She confirmed, beginning to try to act more confident as she took on the Marinette part.

"Okay, bye girl! It was so amazing seeing you again! I'm so so happy you're back!"

"I'm so happy to see you again!"

They hugged and went their separate directions. When Mirielle got home, she detransformed and fell on her bed.

"Mirielle! You're going to make everyone think you are Marinette! She wouldn't be very happy if she were alive!" Tikki scolded her.

"I've messed up so badly. Why did I even go this far? I was supposed to tell Chat Noir that I'm not Marinette and with my dumb plan, now Marinette is supposedly reincarnated. Tikki, I'm so ashamed," Mirielle spoke with her voice muffled by her pillow. What the heck did she get herself into?
