Don't you want to hurt him? What he did to you? Kill them all. No one. No one left alive.
The voices were getting worse by the day. I gathered all the weapons I could carry from the house and put extra clothes and toiletries in a black backpack that I wore on my back. I was on my way to Deadshot's house now.
"Harley?" Deadshot was startled when he opened the door.
"I need to find Joker. I need your help."
I explained everything to him and he agreed to give me some money so I could get along. I had the numbers of seven different people who he promised would each do a favor for me if I said Deadshot gave me the number.
"This first one is Ivy. She's in New York but she's willing to travel. Second one's Two Face. Right now he should be in Virginia, he's on a business thing, but don't worry he'll become available if need be. Next one lives in the sewers and you can only get ahold of him at night. He doesn't come out during the day. His name is Killer Croc. Pretty violent, eats people so don't insult him. He doesn't owe me anything he's just always in the mood for a kill. The rest are people who used to work for me. They're human but they're close with the FBI and they can do a damn good job at tracking."
"Thank you so much!"
"Don't mention it." Deadshot got up from the couch to get a beer and tossed me a bottle.
"Do you think he's still here? In New York I mean."
"Look princess, I know less than you know so don't ask me."
"If he calls you, you'll let me know right?"
" 'Course." I opened the bottle of beer.
"Oh and one more thing."
"Yeah?"
"Don't call me princess, Princess."
••••••••••••••••••••••••
I was on my way to Ivy's. She sounded alright on the phone. She lived on the upper east side which I did not expect. I walked in the hotel and went straight to room 203 where Ivy was staying. I knocked and the door opened but not by someone's hand. A vine had opened the door. "Come in, I'm just touching up my makeup." I stepped inside. The bed looked untouched as did everything else in that room. Ivy walked out of the bathroom. She had hair like fire and a curvy body. She wore a green bra looking thing and very short shorts with stockings beneath them. Ivy put a green mask on that only covered around her eyes. "The full name is Poison Ivy, just so you know."
"Okay makes sense."
"So Joker was spotted yesterday on fifth. He was driving a black van."
"Yeah that's the gang's van."
"Now there's people looking out for him, but you should call one of Deadshot's agents to actually go and find him. C'mon let's go take a walk, there's nothin to do in here." Ivy spoke very fast.
"Sure."
We walked around for a while, got coffee, talked. Ivy didn't say nearly anything about her past. It seemed a touchy subject so I avoided talking about that. I wasn't sure if we were just hanging out or if this was a way to look for Joker.
"Holy shit." Ivy said and froze in her tracks.
"Huh?" I looked to where she was looking and I saw it. I saw him.
"Well that was easy." She said laughing.
He wore a purple suit and was leaning against the wall of a bookstore. Joker looked miserable and at that moment I wanted nothing more than to run up and hold him. But I didn't. I pulled out my gun from my pants and stalked towards him. Before he could react the gun was pressed to his forehead.
"Don't talk until I tell you to talk." He closed his mouth. "We had a plan. We had a life together. Then you shot me, I'm guessing trying to kill me. Then you leave a shitty note at the hospital telling me you're sorry. Sorry. You're gonna be fucking sorry you son of a bitch. " He just looked at me. His eyes were bugging out. "Now would be the time to explain, Joker. "
"Would it help if I said I'm sorry?" He said sweetly. I pressed the gun further.
"Not good enough."
"You held me back. You distracted me. I can't have feelings for you when I'm stealing and killing and just being a criminal. It doesn't work. "
"Bonnie and Clyde." was my response.
"I won't be able to protect you out there half the time. I was going to leave you there at first but then suddenly I shot you. I'm sorry, cupcake. But once I realized I love you my mind went to Hell. "
I dropped the gun. "Once you realized you what?" He seemed surprised at himself that he said that.
"Nothing." I back handed his face with the gun.
"Bastard. You're a sick human being for putting me through that."
"I know Harley. I'm so sorry."
"I forgive you, but I'm here to stay and if you pull that stunt again I'm gonna blow your brains out. "
"I wouldn't expect anything less." I kissed him and he wrapped his arms around me. Nothing else mattered right now. It was just Joker and Harley Quinn forever. He loved me.
When the kiss was broken I remembered Ivy. I turned around. She was gone. Oh well. "Hey Puddin?"
"Yes?"
"Where are the guys?"
"Waiting in the van."
"Waiting for what?"
"You." I was puzzled.
"What?"
"Poison Ivy called me yesterday and said you would be here so I came and waited."
"She lied to me!"
"I didn't wanna go on without you. My feelings for you are too strong."
"Oh Puddin!" I hugged him. "You still lied to me." I slapped him again.
"I'm sorry. "
"A king shouldn't lie to his queen." I kneed him in the stomach and he sank to the floor. I crouched down and opened his jacket. His short revealed skin. I scraped my nails across his chest so hard that he bled. Joker smiled.
"That's my girl."
