2: KPT Academy

"We're here Areum. Your second home." her eomma said to Areum.

"Thank you eomma. Wish me luck." as Areum got out the car, she thought how lucky she is to be one of the few kids who got to come here. It was a rather prestigious school. You had to pay an extraordinary amount of money to go there. This was unless you had natural talent. Which is why Areum came here for free.

Stepping in the school corridors wasn't making Areum nervous. Her eomma called this place her home. So why would she not be confident? Is what Areum kept telling herself.

Just believe in yourself, stand out. She thought.

She walked to a board displaying the school map. 

Areum's POV:

This map is really confusing. I want to ask someone but I have no idea who. I don't know anyone. Maybe this is how I'll make friends-

"Sorry you look a bit troubled. Can I- erm, help?" said a kind-looking boy. I noticed he was very good-looking. Then I realised what he said was a question.

"Oh, I uh, yes. I came today. Where is the reception? I need to collect my things." I said kindly enough.

"Ah, araseo. I'll take you there. Directions never work." he said with a slight laugh.

He just started walking so I followed him. When we arrived he just stayed there with me. I thought he'd leave after he dropped me. Maybe this is my new friend? No. I need to stop stressing over this friend crap. I need to focus on my dance. And my voice.

"So, why'd you decide to come to KPT?" he eventually asked while we were waiting for the receptionist to get me my things.

"I, ah. Well I love to dance. And sing. I have a dream to be a K-Pop star."

"Ah, you're one of the enthusiastic ones. Thank god. They're rare these days." he said happily. I'm one of THOSE? Has it already happened? Am I being rated already?

I did a nervous laugh. I didn't know how to reply.

"I'm in my second year. I'm in a band but we need more training so we all came here."

"Cool. I don't really have any friends yet-" oh god, shouldn't have said that.

"Well you have one now." he said smiling and rubbing his hand behind his neck.

I smiled back. This was great. Hasn't been ten minutes I already have a friend. I'm a bit lucky today aren't I?
