Luckily I had my things at hand, so as he pulled me along to the shopping area where his store was, I knew I wouldn’t lose anything.

“Pick out a dress.” He ordered, chuckling at the fact that I couldn’t even get through the door. I just stood there. “You can come in…”

I didn’t want to, but I knew I had to if I wanted to get anywhere with this plan of mine. Slowly and steadily, I headed to the back where dresses were lined up on racks. I scanned through them, but couldn’t find a single thing.

Satin dress? Too slutty.

Pink dress? Too bubble gum looking.

One of the millions of black dresses? Too many to care about.

Lucian chuckled once again. I was sure he knew that I couldn’t shop for anything, and I couldn’t help but blush from embarrassment. He pulled out something and faced it towards me.

“What about this?”

This is a very sexy dress that features round link halter straps, lightly padded bra cups, empire waist, wide banded hemming, and finished with an elastic belt. I couldn’t help but smile. I wouldn’t have picked it out, but hell I wouldn’t have picked anything out. It really was a fine dress, though.

“Okay.” I smiled.

He slung it over his forearm and led me to another section of the store, were jewelry was laid out on top of navy blue velvet. There were thin, simple chains and crazy, big beaded necklaces. Of all things, I pulled up a silver, ball chain necklace. It was neat, though, because the beads were magnetic. I occupied myself for quite a while by putting them a millimeter away from each other and grinning as they joined forces and made a little ‘click’ noise as they clung together for dear life.

“That one?”I nodded. He then pulled up a matching stud for my nose piercing. It was tiny, but I liked it that way. I smiled as he gave me a peck on the cheek and walked out of his store with the items.

“Now.” He declared. “We’ll need to get some shoes.”

We headed to a nearby shoe department that was under some fucked up name brand that I can’t remember, and he ended up picking out some black high heels. Oh not high heels but hey, since when was I allowed to complain? I sucked it up and watched as the cashier rang the shit up. God, I hated those shoes.

We went to the back where some stalls were to have me try on the clothing. I stripped down, listening to the quiet humming from his voice and resisting the urge to cringe as I slipped on the outfit. When I pulled the red velvet curtain over to the side, Lucian gawked at me in awe.

“Wow…” He put a hand on my shoulder and felt the soft material of my dress, the sleeve riding down a bit as his cold hand touched my skin. “You are absolutely stunning.’’ He then took the liberty to smile at me, and so I smiled back.
