Lucian’s POV

Trisha eventually passed out at about three a.m. I sat in the armchair watching her and couldn’t help but smile as I let myself relive the last couple of hours. She was…amazing. I didn’t really know the word for it, but whatever the word was, Trisha was it. Usually, I only fucked the girls I met once and then either they’d leave or I’d leave. But it was different this time. Trisha was different.

I smiled softly as she sighed in her sleep and rolled onto her side, her black hair falling across her face. She was beautiful, really. She was small, cute, fragile and beautiful. While it may not have been the beauty I was used to – after working with so many models – her beauty hit me more than anyone else’s ever had.

I was fiddling with my phone, trying to think about what I was going to do. Just, for some reason, I wanted to stay. I wanted to stay with her. Until I got bored, which I knew I would. I’d never had a relationship last more than two months, and for a month and a half of that relationship, I was to the other side of the country. I got bored easily, so what? That was one of my few flaws. I was fickle. Once I’d had a taste of something, I quickly wanted to move onto what was new and exciting. And yet, I was still hungry for her. Even after having sex with her for several amazing hours today, I still wanted her. My desire made my decision for me and I quickly dialed Christopher’s number. He’s my agent.

“Lucian…” He said happily and I smiled as I stood. I didn’t want to wake Trisha, so I headed to the living room.

“Hi, Christopher.” I smiled, pulling the door to, but not closed. I wanted to be able to see Trisha as I spoke to my agent.

“How are you? How’s life going?” He asked and I shrugged.

“Fine, it’s all fine,” I said.

“How’d the shoot go?” He asked.

“Good, without a problem.” I answered.

“Great, you know your flight is in a couple hours, right?” He said and I hesitated a second, looking over at Trisha asleep in the large bed.

“I’m not coming back.” I said softly. “Not yet anyway. So I need you to cancel my shoots for the next month or so.”

“What? Why?” He asked, clearly shocked.

“Just do it.” I snapped, not feeling comfortable with the answer to that question. Christopher didn’t answer and I sighed. “Please,” I added in a soft whisper.

Christopher was silent for a second before sighing.

“Fine, but whatever you’re doing, or whoever you’re doing, don’t be too long.” Christopher said and I grimaced at the way he phrased that. “In this business, if you disappear for a couple months, you might as well kiss your career goodbye. Any longer than six months and you’ll be back doing crappy, cheap ads that have very little public appearance. You need to keep your face around, Lucian.”

“I know.” I said, annoyed that I was having this lecture. “I know what I’m doing. I won't be six months, I just need some time here.”

“Alright, but don’t say I didn’t warn you if you come back to New York and find someone younger and hotter has taken all your jobs.” He said.

My hand tightened on the phone and I thought I was going to break it. Instead, I just hung up. I’d said what I needed to say, he’d sort out the rest. It was about time I had a vacation anyway. The two months I was here, wasn’t too much of vacation because of the jobs here and there…And I also had the shop when Aaron wanted to do other stuff since I’m in town.

I went back into the bedroom and chucked my phone in the chair I had recently vacated before heading over to the bed. My eyes were focused on Trisha’s serene face, lost in a deep sleep due to the exhaustion after our earlier activities. I smiled softly and gently got into bed behind her.

As a rule, I don’t cuddle, but for some reason, I just automatically scooted closer to her and wrapped my arm around her waist. Her body was still warm and soft from when we’d made love and I smiled softly, leaning my forehead between her shoulder blades for a second.
