Lucian’s POV
She shifted in her sleep, moving her body backwards against mine, fitting herself into my chest. I lay still, letting her get comfy, and then I relaxed against her as sleep finally took me. I was jerked awake only a few hours later when the body beside me leapt out of bed, cursing under their breath. I blinked several times and glimpsed Trisha running into the bathroom, presumably to find her dress and shoes. A smile tugged at my lips as I sat up slowly.
She appeared a second later, still naked with the creased and rumpled dress in her hands. “Morning.” I said softly, letting my eyes take in that gorgeous body I’d fully enjoyed the night before.
“Morning.” She said, a light blush covering her cheeks. “Um, I’m late for my modeling job.”
“I’ll miss you!” I said licking my lips before I spoke again. ‘’No work for me today so I’ll be home waiting for you!’’
“I thought you would be busy today.” She said and for a second, I felt the humiliation of rejection hit me, but I pushed passed it.
“Change of plans.” I said as she was getting dressed in one of the dresses I bought for her. She picked the cowl neck sweater mini dress with purple stripes.
She looked at me for a second before smiling, her eyes shining. She came to sit beside me on the bed and kissed my lips. I have to admit she took me by surprise.
“I’m free for lunch today, if you want. At one o’clock.” She said.
“I’ll be there.” I smiled and she grinned gently before placing a light, lingering kiss to my lips.
“Great, I’ll see you later, then.” She said and I nodded.
She smiled once more before standing up and heading to the door. She looked over her shoulder at me one last time, before opening the door and leaving. A smile seemed to suddenly appear on my face out of nowhere. I didn’t know what this meant, but I knew it had to be good. I let myself fall back to sleep for a couple of hours before going to meet Trisha. Now that I was going to stay here for a while, I knew I would need to adapt my sleeping patterns, but right now wasn’t the time. I was exhausted after last night and just needed to sleep. I woke again several hours later, my smile still fixed on my features.
I glanced at the clock and saw it was midday and I sighed softly, knowing I couldn’t have any more sleep if I wanted to meet her. And I did want to. I went into the bathroom and had a quick shower and my smile morphing into a grin as I recalled what had happened in the shower several hours ago. I then went back into the bedroom and looked through my wardrobe for clothes. I frowned slightly when I realized I’d have to buy some new clothes.
I texted Trisha asking her where I was meant to meet her, and she replied straight away. I smiled at her obvious enthusiasm before grabbing my keys and wallet and heading out. To be honest, I was kind of enthusiastic, too. I got to the place she told me at about 20 past 1. So sue me, I was slightly early. I just leant against a wall, waiting for her. I was kind of excited to see her again, which was strange since we are together everyday. And in the past, I’d always dreaded running into people I’d slept with. But now…now I wanted to see her again. Not long later, I heard someone say my name and I turned and saw Trisha heading over to me. I grinned at her, taking in her delicious body.
“Hey.” She smiled, but I didn’t bother replying, just ducked my head to kiss her deeply. I’d been wanting to do that all morning, and it was an amazing feeling to finally be able to. I pulled away and smiled at Trisha’s red cheeks.
“Um, hi.” Trisha said again and I chuckled, reaching down to link my fingers with hers.
A boy suddenly appeared next to her, it was Alex. I didn’t like the way he stood so close to her. I wanted to pull Trisha closer to me, but I didn’t want to come across as that jealous. I looked over at Alex, who was trying and failing not to glare at me. I spared him a small smile before turning back to Trisha.
“Ready for lunch?” I asked her and she smiled and nodded.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?” She said, turning to Alex, who just nodded.
I smiled when she tugged on my hand and led me down the street, away from him. I let my hand slip from hers to wrap around her waist instead, holding her closer against my body. I wasn’t stupid, I knew this Alex person wanted Trisha for himself. But I wasn’t going to let her go, not without a fight.
