Lucian’s POV

My eyes wide, as I saw Trisha standing in my doorway biting her lip nervously.

“T-Trisha?” I whispered, sure that I was imagining this.

“Hey, Lucian.” She said gently.

I stared at her for another few long seconds and then Trisha lowered her head slightly.

“What…What are you doing here?” I asked, still unsure as to whether I could believe it was really her.

“I had to make you listen.” She said. “And you weren’t answering my calls. So this was the only way to make you.”

“You flew all the way here just to talk to me?” I asked her, my voice getting softer as I spokeand she just nodded with a light blush.

“You have to understand…” She said almost desperately. “I never wanted you to leave me. All I wanted was for you to stop sacrificing so much to be with me. I was just… Feeling guilty because you’d given up so much to be with me.” I blinked at her, waiting for my brain to catch up.

“What?” I whispered, unsure that I had actually understood.

“I love you, Lucian.” She whispered and my eyes widened. “It killed me that you thought I wanted you to leave. And I had to make sure that you knew I didn’t want you gone. I just…I don’t know. I just didn’t want you to lose your friends or your job or anything.” I looked down at her and smiled softly as more tears gathered in my eyes.

“You love me?” I whispered my heart racing in my chest.

She smiled tenderly and nodded as tears gathered in her eyes as well.

“Very much.” She whispered and I finally allowed myself a gentle smile.

“I love you, too.” I told her and she smiled as well. She looked at me nervously for a second before throwing herself forward and into my arms. I grinned and wrapped my arms tightly around her as I buried my nose in her shoulder and inhaled her familiar scent. I opened my eyes and looked over her shoulder and saw a very large suitcase in the hallway.

After briefly wondering how she’d managed to move that thing, I pulled back and looked down at her. “You’re staying?” I whispered hopefully.

“Only if you want me to.” She said and I rolled my eyes.

“Of course I do.” I told her, cupping her jaw tenderly. “I’m never going to lose you again.”

Trisha smiled up at me and then stretched up and placed a tender kiss to my lips. My eyes slid closed as I reveled in the feeling of her lips on mine after two long weeks. I pulled back after several minutes and looked down at her.

“But, what about your work?” I asked her nervously. I don’t know if I could handle her leaving in just a few months.

“I’m in the process of transferring here and I got in a university for fashion designers and modeling.” She told me and my heart jumped. “If you can’t be in California, then I’m coming here. There’s nothing tying me to California. I can easily change work and I will find another internship somewhere. Mr. Flask even said that I would be in for a good shot at getting the same internship in American Cosmopolitan or Vogue here.”

“I can’t believe you’d do that for me.” I whispered and she just shrugged slightly.

“It’s either that, or we have to live miles away from each other.” She said. “And I can’t do it anymore.” I grinned at her and kissed her deeply, holding her body tight against mine.

“Me, neither.” I told her. “This is going to be amazing.” She nodded, her smile never faltering. “I love you so much.”

“I love you more.” She whispered and I smiled gently.

“I love you more.” I argued. Trisha smiled, her eyes shining nothing but love and happiness.

“So are you going to give me a tour of my new home?” She asked with a smile and I grinned.

“I like the sound of that.” I told her as I threaded my fingers with her and led her inside.

“What?” She asked, looking up at me curiously.

“Your new home.” I repeated and she grinned.

“Me, too.” She told me.

For the next twenty minutes I showed her around the apartment, letting her familiarize himself with her home, with our home. When she came and sat on my lap after she’d explored all of the cupboards in the kitchen, I couldn’t help but grin as I wrapped my arms around her slim waist.

“I don’t know why you put up with our dingy flat when you live somewhere like this.” She told me.

“It wasn’t the flat that made that place feel like home.” I said and her eyes lit up beautifully. “And this place didn’t feel like home until you walked through the door.”

“You’re so cheesy.” She giggled as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

“Yep.” I grinned, pressing a kiss to her shoulder.

She smiled and then settled in my arms comfortably. It still felt so surreal. I could hardly even believe she was here. But she was here. And I was never going to let her go again.
