Emma admired the surroundings as evening set on Storybrooke giving the streets a warm orange glow. She and her group of friends had just returned from a shopping trip that had to be delayed from Friday to Sunday.

Zelena and Emma walked side by side to the Mayoral Mansion with a light buzz of the usual conversation flowing between them.

It's been shortly over two weeks since Kathryn dumped the Zelena, and the redhead had been slowly accepted as part of their 'pack' as Kathryn would have called them. Ruby is getting on a lot better with her and everyone loves her sarcastic and snarky comments.

As for Regina, she's not talking to the young blonde, unless it's in class under formal terms. But she's been nothing but cold to Emma since that day.

Emma, since that day, has slowly begun to see what everyone meant by 'The Evil Queen' when she first arrived. She was cold, snappy, almost uncaring, but the blonde still doesn't believe that's really her. The young girl feels like the brunette has just put up a wall that she uses to protect herself and uses the charade of an almost heartless human being, to stop herself from getting hurt.

Zelena turned to her friend, "right, Swan. You've kept it from me for two weeks. I haven't been able to get Regina to talk. What's happened between you two? And I will not accept any other answer but the truth" she said confidently as she stood in front of the blonde stopping her in her tracks.

Emma looked at the redhead as she stared her down with her piercing blue eyes. The blonde knew it was impossible, in the little time she's known Zelena, she knew that the redhead won't let go until she tells her.

The blonde let out a rough sigh, "we kissed, okay. Satisfied now?" She muttered in a slightly annoyed tone.

Zelena raised an eyebrow, "shouldn't that be a good thing?" She questioned.

Emma shook her head and quickly explained to her friend how Regina reacted after the kiss.

Zelena nodded as they started walking again, "but you're eighteen in a few weeks, right?" She questioned.

The blonde nodded not really taking much notice of what she was doing.

She smirked, "then all we have to do is get Regina to see what she's missing out on" she toyed in that mischievous tone of hers.

The girl turned to the redhead and shook her head, "please, Zelena, I don't want things to get worse than they already are" she mumbled almost pleadingly.

The younger girl shook her head, "it won't, trust me. I know exactly what to do" she told Emma with a bright smile as they approached the gate of the Mayoral Mansion.

Emma noticed Regina's car in the driveway and let out a soft sigh, "I want her, more than I probably should. I know it's wrong, I know she's my teacher but everything about her is perfect to me" she thought absentmindedly to herself.

The blonde frowned, "what is it you're going to do?" She questioned finally giving in to whatever idea Zelena had in mind.

The redhead smirked, "oh, you'll see. Just act natural and don't question anything I do or say and just go with it" she told the blonde with a swift wink before grabbing her hand and dragging the older girl into the house.

Emma spotted Regina coming into the hall from the kitchen.

The brunette smiled, "do you two want something to eat or have you already eaten?" She asked in a dull tone.

Zelena shook her head, "no thanks, we got something from Granny's" she responded.

Regina nodded. Emma watched as her cocoa eyes flickered from Zelena, to her, to their entwined hands and back to Zelena again. The blonde noticed as a slight frown cross the older woman's face before she quickly covered it up.

The brunette nodded, "okay, well if you want anything I'll be in the living room. Mother won't be home until late tonight" she told Zelena who nodded before practically dragging the blonde up the stairs.

Emma flopped down onto Zelena's bed with a sigh, "let me guess, you're going to try and make her jealous. Isn't that like, the oldest trick in the book?" She questioned.

Zelena sighed before lying down next to the blonde, "well, it was the best thing I could think of. Besides, it's worth a shot" she grumbled.

The pair sat in Zelena's room watching a few different movies, only stopping to go and get drinks before Emma decided that she should probably head home.

They walked down the stairs and the blonde peered into the living room where Regina was curled up on the sofa with a book on her lap.

Regina's head shot up at the sudden presence in the room, "hey, you guys okay?" She asked.

The two girls nodded, "yeah, I'm just heading home" Emma told her.

The older woman nodded and got to her feet, "I'll give you a ride home" she told her.

Emma quickly shook her head, "it's okay, you don't have to. I can walk, it's no big deal" she rambled quickly.

Regina shook her head, "it's late, it's dark and it'll be a lot faster than you walking home" she said as she pulled on her shoes.

The young blonde was about to speak up again when Zelena stopped her, "stop trying, Swan, she won't give in. Never does" the redhead grumbled.

Regina chuckled, "Zelena's right, Emma" she told the girl with a smile.

Zelena gave her friend a hug and a quick kiss on the cheek.

Emma couldn't help but notice the frown on Regina's face, "bye, Zel" she mumbled before following Regina out to her car and slid into the passenger side.

Regina let out a soft sigh, "Emma" she mumbled softly as we drove.

Emma turned to look at her, "yeah?" She responded quietly.

The brunette frowned, "I'm sorry for the way I've been acting towards you for the past while" she whispered through the silence of the car.

The blonde shook her head, "you don't have to apologise Regina, I completely understand why you started acting the way you did. You did nothing wrong" she told the older woman, but something inside her told Emma that the brunette didn't believe her.

Regina pulled up outside the apartment block and turned to fully face the blonde, "I feel awful about snapping at you and thought that it would just be easier to block you out like I do with everyone else" she told the girl honestly.

Emma couldn't help but stare at her as she spoke.

The brunette frowned, "I know what Zelena's trying to do" she told her softly.

The blonde didn't respond, "it took everything in me not to smack her for kissing you" she told the girl as her cocoa eyes met Emma's sea-green ones for the first time in weeks.

Emma debated in her head for a moment before deciding to take a chance. The young blonde leaned forward and pressed her lips gently against the older woman's cheek. She let her lips linger there for a moment. Regina didn't try to stop her or push her away. The brunette let out a small sigh of content before the girl pulled back.

Emma bit her lower lip, "be cold, ignore me. That won't change anything" she told the woman confidently.

The blonde smiled, "goodnight, Miss Mills" she mumbled before getting out of the car and heading up to the apartment.
