Regina sat there on the couch with the blonde still wrapped securely in her arms just three hours after her father had left.

The brunettes phone buzzed from its spot next to her.

She picked it up and saw a text from Zelena, "is Emma okay?" it read.

Regina let out a soft sigh as she stared down at the young girl, "no, she's not." She thought to herself.

The woman frowned, "she's sick but she's sleeping at the moment" she swiftly replied.

Another text came through a few minutes later, "mother is asking where you are. What do you want me to tell her?" She asked.

Regina stiffened slightly at the question. She bit her lower lip before typing out her reply, "the truth" she responded before putting her phone to the side.

The older woman doesn't care what her mother thinks about their relationship anymore. David called her, he asked her to come here. Regina was here for Emma, to care for her, to look after her and she always will be regardless of what her mother, and even Mary Margaret, have to say about it.

.

Regina watched as the door opened and David made his way into the apartment. He took one look at his daughter and his lips drooped to a small frown.

The sandy-haired man sat down on the armchair and shot the brunette a sympathetic smile, "how long has she been?" He asked gently.

Regina sighed, "I tried to get her to eat but she couldn't keep it down. She's been asleep ever since" she explained to him.

David frowned as he stared at his daughter, "a decent amount of sleep should help her" the woman added in quickly.

Regina frowned as she stared down at the blonde. She hasn't been sleeping and now she's ill.

David sighed, "I've been up with her these past few nights. I've noticed how she's gradually been getting worst over these past two weeks. Mary Margaret is convinced that it's all an act just to get her to change her mind about your relationship" David explained.

The brunette shifted slightly as she felt Emma begin to squirm from her spot. Regina trailed her fingers through her blonde hair pushing the strands that had fallen over her face behind her ears.

Regina cleared her throat gently, "and what do you think? About our relationship, I mean" she asked the older man hesitantly.

David shot the woman a small, reassuring smile, "I don't see a problem with it, honestly" he told her.

Emma moved again, and Regina looked down to see her greyish green eyes staring up at her longingly. The brunette gently loosened her hold on the younger woman allowing the blonde to sit up straight.

Emma moved around a little bit more before pulling the older woman towards her. The younger woman pulled the brunette's legs towards her, so they were laid across her thighs and pulled Regina onto her lap. The blonde wrapped her arms around Regina's waist and placed a gentle kiss under her ear causing a small smile to cross the older woman's face.

Regina missed this; she missed the little things. The little kisses the blonde would leave randomly on various areas of her face and neck, the touches.

The brunette looked over to David nervously who was smiling at the pair, "you make her happy, Regina. I think anyone could see that" he joked light-heartedly.

The blonde pressed her face against the crook of the older woman's neck, "she does" she mumbled, her breath tickling the sensitive flesh of the brunette's neck.

Regina turned her head and placed a gentle, loving kiss on the girl's forehead.

David chuckled, "see, this is why I don't have a problem. You two fit so well together" he commented.

The brunette felt her cheeks begin to heat up with embarrassment as she turned back to face the older man.

David cleared his throat, "I've been trying to convince my wife that there wouldn't be any problem, but she hasn't budged" he explained, "how did your mother react when she found out?" he asked curiously.

Regina bit her lower lip, "she actually came in and misread the situation" she muttered, her mind flashing back to the look on her mother's face when she saw her and the young blonde wrapped around each other.

David raised an eyebrow, "what do you mean by that?" He asked.

Emma let out a soft giggle, "she found us in bed" the blonde squeaked.

David opened his mouth to speak but Regina quickly cut him off, "before you say anything, it was when Emma wasn't sleeping, and she came around and I comforted her. We were completely clothed, nothing was happening. We..." she rambled out nervously, but David chuckled, "Regina, it's okay" he assured her.

Emma let out a soft giggle causing Regina to smile at the sound.

Regina cleared her throat, "she was pissed off at first. But after I explained everything to her she gave me a condition. The condition was that if you and Mary Margaret could accept the relationship, as you are her parents, then she would overlook it. My mother told me that she had a few suspicions" she explained to the older man.

David furrowed his eyebrows, "so, she was quite accepting until Mary Margaret said no?" He offered up.

The brunette shrugged, "technically, yes. Not as much as you but she was willing enough to let us continue being together" she told him.

David coughed awkwardly breaking the silence, "does Cora know you're here?" He asked.

Regina bit her lower lip and shrugged, "I'm not sure. Zelena asked me earlier what she wanted me to tell our mother about my whereabouts and I told her just to tell her the truth. Whether she actually did or not is another question all together" she explained to him.

There were two voices growing louder from outside the apartment causing the group to stiffen. Regina watched as the door opened and Emma instantly buried her face into the crook of the older woman's neck too afraid to look up and face the two women who had just made their way into the apartment.

The brunette gulped nervously as Mary Margaret and Cora stared at the pair from the doorway.
