Time for the meet up...

~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been two days since Nino showed up. Alya was sad, mad, and everything in between. She didn't understand why she was so frustrated when he wasn't even talking to her. She figured he had moved on which made her even angrier.
But through the midst of her raging plots she would never use, she couldn't help but think about him and feel happy. She planned for the worst, like she had been doing ever since the breakup. So thinking of him as someone she would be with again was something she yearned so much for.
She couldn't stop thinking about him so she just gave up. She called his parents and asked for his new address. They were confused at first, but gave the address to her.
She regretted wanting it, but she felt like she needed to get some things off of her chest. The good and the bad. She decided to go to his apartment. She didn't give it much thought. She just headed over.
She got there and rang the doorbell, anxiously waiting for him to answer. Her first thought was to avoid punching him in the face, but she wasn't sure if she would be able to hold it back.
Nino opened the door and looked at his first love. He was confused. Why is she here?, he thought. He looked at her his head slightly tilted and a confused expression on his face. "Alya?" He said quietly.
"I just-" she sighed, clenching her fists. "I don't want to talk to you, but I need to talk to you." She closed her eyes. She thought maybe not seeing him would make her urge to attack him go down.
He nodded noticing the stiffness in her, realizing what she was feeling. "You can come in." He opened the door a bit more, making sure to be alert of any appendages hurled toward him.
He knew he needed to talk to Alya, but he never thought she would just show up. His plan of getting her back was beginning to crumble away. Her here was most likely a bad thing for him, but he had some hope that it was good.
Alya walked in and looked around at all the boxes and trash everywhere. "Your a slob." She said trying not to chuckle. She remembered when she would do things with him. His messiness was something she found funny.
Nino put his hand on the back of his head. "Yeah... So why are you here?" He looked at her wanting to get to the point. If his heart was going to be broken he wanted it to happen fast.
Alya walked into the kitchen grabbing some ice from the freezer. "Well first of all, I want the whole story not the bull shit you told me." She put the ice in a paper towel.
"I told you the real story." Nino said wondering what she was doing.
Alya looked at him with her signature 'don't mess with me' look. Nino knew what it meant. It was like he had seen it yesterday.
He sighed and looked at Alya who got a towel and wrapped it around the ice and paper towel she had gotten before. "I got bored with the relationship. I thought that dating someone different would change that, but-"
"So I'm boring?" She looked at him holding the ice towel in her hand walking to him.
"No, I just thought that we weren't going to make it. I lost hope I guess." He shrugged.
"And this other girl?" She looked at him her arms crossed.
"She wasn't worth it. She cheated on me." He looked at the floor. It made him sad to think about.
"So remember when I said you would regret treating me like that?" Alya looks at him with a devious smile.
"Ye-" Nino started.
"Nope." Alya interrupted. "I'm talking, so you listen." She looked at him as she placed the ice on the table and took a deep breath. "You left me for a girl who wasn't worth it. Made me feel like it was my fault. You told me you loved me," she fake laughs. "which obviously isn't true. You broke up with me when you felt like I wasn't exciting anymore. Oh! And let's not forget that you took my innocence right from under me and I was to blind to see that you didn't even like me then because I thought you liked me!" Her voice became more stern and intimidating.
Nino stood there ashamed. He knew his was wrong. He knew he never should have done it, and that's the whole reason he was here. "Yeah. I-" he began again
"I'm not done yet!" She said pointing her finger at him angrily. "And I learned one thing from that." She nods getting in his face. The promise to not hit him was quickly fading from her mind. "You are an ass, Nino!" She punched him in the face making his head turn as he grabbed it.
"Yeah. I deserved-" he began to say before being hit again. This time by the ice towel.
"But I can't help, but still like you, and that makes me cringe and rage and punch you in the face." She began to ice his face.
"I-" Nino started speechless. "You what?"
"Your a dumb ass, which will never change, but you pulled me in. I thought I was done, but I wasn't and I'm still not." She sighs. "It kills me. I want to be over you."
Nino's heart dropped. He wasn't surprised that she didn't want to love him, but the fact she did was surprising. "I'm here for you, you know." He blurted out. He almost didn't control it. Like something in his head made him talk.
She let out a small laugh. "Yeah sure." She gave him the ice as she stood in front of him.
"I graduated college early to be with you. I made a mistake, and I realize that now. I was stupid. I thought being in a long distance relationship would end bad. It scared me and I thought if I ended it with you then it would be easier for me, but it just made it that much harder. I just- I want you to accept me and be with me, but now I realize that won't happen." He looked down trying his best to keep in the tears forming in his eyes.
Alya stood there looking at him. She wasn't sure if she was appalled or excited. Maybe a little bit of both? She wasn't sure, but she couldn't take it. "Why would you ever think that?" She said with an angry confused look.
He just shrugged. "I thought I didn't want to hurt you on accident, but really, I was looking out for myself." He looked up up into her eyes.
She sighed looking at him. "You really are a dumbass." She smiled at him. She felt a form of relief. She was calm all of a sudden, and not just because she got her anger out on him.
"He chuckles as well and smiled at her. "I'm really sorry, Al. I know I screwed up now. I don't want to screw up with you again." He said nodding realizing what he said
Again?, they both thought.
Oh geez. What did I say?! Again?! Really?! She was right, I am King Dumbass, Nino thought.
He- he wants me, again? I- I- Wow. Why do I have to want that again?, Alya thought.
"I didn't mean it like-" Nino said loudly a sigh falling from his mouth.
"It's ok." She nodded speaking quietly. She kisses his cheek and walked to the door. "Sorry for punching you in the face." Even though he deserved it, she thought.
Nino stood there blushing looking at Alya walking away. "I-" He tried to speak, not able to muster up words. What in the world just happened?, he thought. He couldn't think of anything else.
She turned and looked at him. "Goodnight." She said a smile beginning to creep on her face.
"Yeah." He smiled looking at her as she left. His face stopped hurting and he looked at the door. He knew the next time he would see her would be good.
Alya left the apartment with a smile. She felt better about herself. Now she had to think about getting back with him. If it was right for her to do, and if she could afford being hurt again. She had a lot of thinking to do, but at least, for now, she was happy.
