The Chunin Exams.

Hana didn't leave the house until a few days after the mission involving Tazuna. She couldn't believe that this mission went from a C-rank to an A in the matter of moments. She was mainly recovering from the injuries she has from her fight with Haku.

After the few days, Hana went to meet Meiko and Taro at the Hokage's office for a mission or to see if he had anything training for them. Once she arrived and saw her teammates outside the building, they quickly knocked on the Hokage's door once inside.

"Come in." The old man said as his three students made their way into the room. A large smile moved over his lips.

"Ah, Hana, Meiko, and Taro. It's great to see you. I have some news for you three. I have suggest you for the chunin exams this year." He said as his students looked slightly confused.

"Why us? We haven't been out of the academy very long." Taro asked as the three watched the male get out of his chair and walked towards the three.

"You guys have amazing teamwork and strength. You guys are an equal match to my second year genin team." He chuckled softly as he handed over their papers to them. "You will fill these papers out if you'd wish to participate. The only thing is, is you have to participate as a team."

Hana glanced at Meiko and Taro who looked from each other to her. All three of them nodded at each other with a large smile over all their lips.

"We will sensi!" The three yelled in unison which caused the old man to laugh.

"Good, good. All the information about the exam is on the paper. If you guys need anything else, please come visit. You will not go on any missions during this time. Now, go have some fun and relax before the exams." His students nodded before the left the room.

Hana stared at the paper before folding it up and placing it in we pocket. She looked at her friends and smiled softly. "What do you guys wanna do today?" Taro asked his sister and friend.

"I think I'm going to drop by the Hyuga residence to see if I can spend time with Hinata. I haven't really seen her since team selection day." Hana smiled at the twins and they nodded softly.

"Dinner at our place?" Taro asked Hana as she quickly shook her head. Taro frowned.

"Sasuke and I are getting ramen tonight. Sorry guys." Hana giggled before running off to find Hinata. Once she got to the Hyuga residence, Hana was greates by Hiashi. He told Hana that Hinata was out with her team, before she bowed and left the male.

Hana simply walked around town until she stopped at the Yamanaka flower shop and looked at all the flowers. Her favorite were always the red and pink roses. She smiled as she remembered when we mother would always bring her to the flower shop to get flowers to the house.

A soft sigh escaped her lips before a hand was placed on her shoulder. "You just gonna stare at the roses, or are you gonna buy some?" A female voice said as Hana smiled softly.

"I think I'm going to get some of the roses. Three pink and three red please.." she said softly as she turned to look at Ino with a large smile.

The blonde simply nodded at her as she grabbed them and wrapped them up, handing them over. Hana rummaged through her pocket to pull out money but the female shook her head. "It's free of charge. I'll see ya later, Hana."

"See ya later, Ino." She smiled as she left the flower shop. She carried the flowers around her and soon went home. And pulled an old vase out and placed the roses in it with a smile.

Sasuke and Hana were sitting in the ramen shop on silence. It didn't bug Hana much. Ever since their brother murdered the clan, he barely spoke, even to his sister. Once their ramen was sat in front of them, Hana started to chow down.

"So.. I heard the Hokage suggested your team for the chunin exams. Are you three going to participate?" Sasuke spoke softly to his sister as she looked at him some. Hana nodded quickly.

"I haven't talked to Meiko and Taro about it yet, but I want to do it. Try at least. What could go wrong?" She said as she quickly finished off her bowl and pushed it to the side. She watched her brother.

Hana waited as Sasuke finished up, they paid for their food and left. They walked down the streets while Hana's eyes wondered up to the dark, starry sky. They walked home before they both settled in their separate rooms. Hana sighed before changing her clothing for the night and getting ready for bed. The chunin exams would be the perfect way to show how strong she is. A smile moved across her lips as she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
