Preparing for the Finals.

They had a month until the final matches for the chunin exams will happen. Hana was nervous. She had to fight again the puppet guy. She was more worried around Meiko because she was up against Dosu and Taro had Shino. Hana played with her thumbs some as the twins watched her. They clearly saw she was nervous.

"Hana, it's okay. You're stronger than him!" Taro smiled at his friend as she got up from the kitchen table. The three of them were heading towards the training ground to meet their sensi.

Hana was noticeably more nervous than the other two, but Meiko was beyond nervous and scared. Dosu scared her beyond belief. Watching him fight Choji made her worry about their fight. She could still forfeit. No, maybe she would look weak...

As the three got to the training fields, they noticed their sensi there with another male with three genin. It was Asuma-sensi with Shikamaru, Ino and Choji. Hana gave a questionable look as they soon approved the group.

"Good morning, team!" The Hokage said to his students with a large smile. Hana, Meiko and Taro simply bowed at him and gave him large smiles.

"Morning Sensi!" The three said. He chuckled slightly before turning. To Asuma.

"Today, I am going to take Hana to help her practice for the exams. Meiko and Taro, you will be sparing again Asuma's students today. Any questions?" The older man asked as the three quickly nodded their heads. Soon,  Hana and the Hokage wondered off to a different place to train.

They walked out of the gate of the village, not to far away, a few ANBU hiding in the tree to protect the Hokage and his student. Hana looked around at the trees as she looked up at him.

"I-I don't know if I can fight him.." Hana said quickly as she slowly looked towards the ground. She sighed softly as a hand was placed on her shoulder.

"I believe in you, Hana. You're a strong girl. You are part of the Uchiha clan. They are one of the strongest clans in our village." The Hokage said to the girl. A smile soon moved over Hana's lips as she watched him. She slowly nodded.

"Thank you, sensi. So what are we going to practice today?" The Hokage smiled at his student with a chuckle.

"Well, I was going to teach you a new jutsu, hopefully two. The first is The Dagon Bomb and, with enough practice, will turn into The Dragon Flame Bomb." The Hokage spoke as he tried his best to explain the jutsu and then showed her.

Hand watched in awe as she soon attempted The Dragon Bomb. She didn't get the hand sign just right. For some reason, when she tried forming tiger, it just wouldn't click. A few hours past and Hana initially gave up. She stormed off from her sensi, back into the village and off to find her teammates.

She noticed Meiko and Taro sparring against Ino and Choji. Shikamaru sitting against a tree looking bored. A smirk moved over Hana's lips as she threw a shuriken at shikamaru from about 200 feet away. It landed an inch away from his face. Shocked, he hopped up and looked at the girl.

She was in a fighting stance, waiting for him to make a move. When he stood there studying her, that's when Hana made the first move. She tried once more to do the jutsu her sensi was teaching her. This time, she formed the hand sign perfectly, inhales quickly and exhaled fire from her mouth.

Shikamaru jump out of the way quick enough that Hana only caught the tree on fire, but he looked at her with surprise. Lord Hokage made his way too the training field with a small smile. The two genin continued to spar with each other as their teams watched in amusements.

"They're both extremely strong, smart, excellent team leaders.." The Hokage said to Asuma, who simply smiled towards the two who were sparring.

"They are. You should see Shikamaru play Shogi. I haven't beaten him once. I wonder if she could.." Asuma chuckled as he spoke. After about ten minutes, Shikamaru and Hana stopped and glared at each other before they quickly started laughing.

"You're a very worthy opponent, Shika.  It would be a shame if we ended up fighting against each other in the final exams." Hana said was she walked over to him with a large smile over her lips.

"They both show everything a chunin is qualified for.." Asuma said to the Hokage who simply nodded.

"I must get going. I need to talk to the elders." Lord Hokage said before saying goodbye to his team and returning to the Hokage building. Hana simply waved bye to Shikamaru before heading towards her team.

"I'm going to beat Kankuro! He's not going to win. I'm going to have a few tricks up my sleeve that he won't see coming!" Hana exclaimed happily as she walked back to the Senjida household.

Meiko nodded at her as she slowly looked towards the ground. "I don't think I'll be able to defeat Dosu. He's too strong.." she sighed softly as her best friend and brother looked at her.

"Yes you can, Mei! I believe in you." Hana said to her with a large smile. "You were strong enough to get past the first round, now, you will be strong enough to get through the last few!"

"Y-you think so?" Meiko seemed to perk up a lot as she watched her friend with a smile. Hana nodded at her as Meiko quickly hugged her. "Thank you, Hana.."

The three of them walked into the house where Meiko and Taro's mother finished making dinner, spicy pork dumplings.  Hana squealed once she saw the food and quickly sat down at the table with her friends. They all are happily together, talking about the training they did today.
