Crystal's pov:

"Time for dinner honey," mom said through the mind link

      I sighed and eventually got out of my room and towards the dining room. The dining room is like a buffet where there are many tables and food at the counter for the people to choose from. Our pack is the White Moon Pack and we gave at least around 300 pack members. We may not be the strongest, but we aren't the weakest either.

     I walked over to where the high-rank members are which include the Alpha, Beta and third in command family. Henry was already there and Jaxon too. And of course, Alec is sitting at the table giving me cold glares.

"Hey bro" I hugged him. He hugged me back 

"hi lil sis"

     After the dinner, I went to put my plate in the sink. I then walked in the hallway when someone grabbed my wrist. I gasped when I felt sparks from the touch and one thing came into my mind

"Mate" I whispered. I looked up to see who my mate was and I immediately regretted it.

     In front of me is Alec Hearth. No, it can't be, how can my biggest bully be my mate! No this gotta be wrong the moon goddess made a mistake!

"How can you piece of sh*t be my mate. I the best fighter in the pack and my mate is you! A useless wolf that count as a human!" 

     His words dripped of venom and his eyes held so much hate and disgust. The next 11 words he said broke my heart into pieces

"I Alec Kings Hearth reject you Crystal Kim as my mate"

     I felt tears rolling down my cheek before I could stop myself, the words tumbled out

"I a-a-accept your rejection." 

     I then ran out of the packed house as fast as I can, not caring my brother's calls. I hate him, I hate him soo much. How could he? Mates are supposed to love each other, but he freaking rejected me!

     I ran for like an hour. I didn't care I just kept on running. I jumped over a log and when I landed I felt a pain up my right ankle and a crack.

     I dropped to the floor whimpering in pain. Wow, I broke my ankle can this day be any better? As I was trying to stand up I heard rustling sounds in the bushes.

"Who's there?" I called out. In return, I heard a few growls and hisses.

     I sniffed the air and I smelled... Rogues! Ok, I'm beyond scared now. Tears threatening to fall and my I suddenly felt it was hard to breathe. From the bushes came out 5 rogues. I noticed that 2 are vampires and the rest are werewolves.

     How can I be so stupid? There were rogue sightings just not long ago. And here I am alone in the woods and hurt.

"Look what we have here? A girl with a broken ankle!" one of the vampires said with sarcasm and gave me a look that sent a shiver of disgust down my spine.

"And I smell fear. I bet she will taste delicious" the other vampire sneered while licking his lips

     They came closer to me and I tried to back away. I then screamed hoping somebody could hear me and come to my rescue.
