Chapter 42: Guy's pov

Henry's pov:

     I smiled in triumph at the thought of the kiss we just had. This is different than the kisses I've had with other girls. 

      I used to enjoy kissing other girls. They were very tempting wearing skirts that barely covered their ass. Sure I slept with most of them, but when Allison came into the picture I never once looked in their direction. 

     What I said was true, I stopped sleeping around. I'm happy that I managed to make some progress in mine and Allison's relationship. I had to hold myself back from taking her right against the way. Luckily, Scarlett chooses at that moment to walk in on us or else I would've had her sister marked at the end of the day. 

     I never thought that she will kiss me back, but I sure am happy that she did. 

     Right now I'm sitting on my bed and smiling like a weirdo and Dakota's constant nagging to go back to Allison is starting to get annoying. But I know that in no time we would have Allison back in our arms. 

     Just you wait...

Jaxon's pov:

     Since I rejected Scarlett, Theo has been nagging me nonstop. It's getting annoying, why can't he just shut up?

"Because I want mate!" he whined and started pacing around 

"I already rejected her, so stop thinking about it! What done is done and we don't need a weakling as a luna"

"I hate you right now, you know that?"

"So what? You can't do anything. You're stuck with me"

     Theo growled at me "if I had a choice, I would rather not be your wolf"

"Well too bad" like that I blocked him out.

     To be honest, every day I'm starting to regret my decision. But for the stakes of the pack kept me at bay. I was never able to forget the look she gave me when I rejected her. Those brown eyes of hers were full of anger and hurt that almost got flinching. Keyword almost.

     I was in my office doing some of my that dad gave me. He said that I will take over the alpha position when I found my mate so why not start getting used to doing paperwork?

     I didn't bother telling him the truth, he wouldn't accept my actions. To them rejecting a mate is highly frowned upon. I don't need them taking away my position once they found out. So keeping everything a secret is the safest thing to do.

"ALPHA! ALPHA!" one of my warriors yelled barging through my office door panting slightly

     I tried not to show my annoyingness "what is it?" I sighed rubbing my temple.

"Where is Alpha Daggers?"

"He is resting, you can inform me" I glared at him, clearly he wasn't respecting me. I'm the soon to be alpha. Seeing the glare, he shrunk back and bowed his head. 

"There are some problems at the border of the territory"

"WHAT!" I stood up suddenly "I want you to bring some warriors and follow me" I commanded before running out of the door.

     I arrived at the border to find a lot of my pack members surrounding something. I shifted back and quickly put some clothes on before entering the clearing.

"What is going on here?" my voice boomed throughout the crowd. They all turned around to meet me and bowed. I pushed past them to find two dead rogues hanging from the trees.

     Their heads lay beneath their feet and their disgusting smell never once left the place.

     I stepped pass the border ignoring the calls of my pack, nonetheless, some of my warriors followed me for protection. Kneeling by the head I saw something carved into the soil.

     Kicking one of the heads aside to see I clearly, I groaned out loud. It's the secret guardians again.
