Chapter 20: "Henry"

Ok, so I said I always update during the weekends... But recently I got a cold AND it still didn't go away... so I basically feel like shit right now.

That's not the only reason I didn't update this Saturday, it's bc I got a lot of projects from school that I need to finish...

So I'm only going to update one chapter today and go back to finishing my project. After I'm done with all my work I'll come back and update :)

So here's chapter 20!

Henry's pov:

     I'm now laying on the grass of the training field. Trying to control my breathing while staring up the sky. The orange and almost red sky, the cold and yet warm breeze of wind blowing against me cooling me off. It's just very peaceful and helped me calm down and think.

     I wanted this training to be over. Luckily 2 weeks later all these intense trainings will be over. I could go back to school like before. That doesn't mean I like school.

     Ok, I just want to go back so I can protect my little sister and get back to my friends... and girls.

     I still go home every day, unlike Jaxon. We have been training for like 3 months now and he just stays at the camp. How can he not miss his family?

     The past few months, when I get home I would see Crystal with bruises on her arm. I would ask her about it, but she always brushes me off. Just recently I have been seeing her more lively and more healthy than ever. I'm glad that she is getting better, but the bruises always get to me.

     I felt Jaxon coming up to me and laid next to me. We just lay there in a comfortable silence, just staring up at the sky and having our thoughts flow through our minds.

"Man, I hope tomorrow will be the last day of training," I said breaking the silence

"Yea me too..."

     I turned to face him "really? I've never seen you visit your family for the past few months"

"I want to, but being the soon-to-be-alpha I have no choice. I need to get used to not meeting them. In the future, I wouldn't be able to see them much considering the amount of work I have to do."

"Wow, sorry man. Lucky I'm a beta." I said

     He chuckled "at least you get to meet your family every day."

"You know speaking of family. I think it's time to go home. Crystal will get mad at me for not arriving home on time." I said getting up and brush off the imaginary dust on my pants

"Bye man," Jaxon said with his eyes closed

"Bye," I walked off to my Ferrari and drove home. After thirty minutes of driving, I arrived at the pack house. Noticing that it's already dark out, just in time for dinner.

     I walked through the door without knocking

"I'm homee!" I yelled dragging out the e. I then heard fast footsteps coming down the stairs. And Crystal came running towards me. She jumped into my arms and hugged me.

     I just love her so much. I have always been protective of her, and I hoped that she finds her mate this year. If the mate of hers rejected her I would make sure that he wouldn't be able to have babies. EVER.

     I inhaled her scent, her scent always seems to calm me down. I was inhaling when I caught the most amazing scent in the world. It was a mixture of vanilla and honey with a little of mint.
