Jaxon's pov:
"I'm going in," I told everyone, not bothering to hear a reply I jumped up and walked into the house
They were all laying on the grass, some were groaning in pain. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are already asleep.
Never in my lifetime have I ever been this tired and sore from training. Even the training camp is easier than this.
I don't know where Scarlett disappeared to, she left just after the training ended. Crystal and Allison are talking to some pack members, they don't even look tired like the rest. I doubt they even break a sweat.
Little by little people followed me in. I was planning to go to my room for a shower but instead, I came across a room where I heard piano playing. I noticed that it was coming from a room that wasn't used in years. I personally never saw what's behind the doors, my parents never told me what the room was for either.
Peering into the room, I find my beautiful mate sitting in front of the piano. Her back facing me while she continued to play the piano
I noticed that the people from training are crowding around the door listening to her sing. So we all entered the room.
I gotta say she is good. I never knew that she could play the piano. I don't know anything about her...
"She's very beautiful", Theo said in my head
"Indeed, absolutely beautiful"
"And she is all ours"
When she finished, I couldn't help but clap at her performance. Everyone joined in
I spaced off by just staring at her. I couldn't help but be fascinated by her beauty. She isn't wearing any makeup, and she still manages to outrank other females here. Excluding mom, she would kill me if I said she doesn't look beautiful.
"... are you the future luna? People say you are" a little girl from the pack asked
Scarlett's eyes met mine for a few seconds before she turned back to the girl
"Yes, yes I'm your future luna" just having her say that. I broke out a huge grin
Everyone left afterward. Sadly, Scarlett left too. After what she said, I couldn't help but have a little bit of hope that she would accept me back, I know that I hurt her a lot... but it was all because of some stupid reason and if I could turn back time, I would fix everything
All I needed is a plan...
Scarlett's pov:
I just woke up from my hibernation and stumbled out of my room. I'm pretty sure I looked like a zombie with some drool on the side of my mouth
Dressed in my onesie, I wrapped the dragon tail around my fist. Who wears onesies during the summer?
This girl right here. I totally love them and a half of my closet were filled with onesies, all different kinds. You name them I have them. Plus sometimes the AC is freezing, but I like it that way.
Yawning, I went down the stairs... nearly tripping down the last few steps. Why? Because in the middle of the living room, Jaxon freaking Daggers is sitting on the couch chatting away with the girls.
"WHAT IS HE DOING HERE!" I snapped pointing at him. All their heads snapped towards me.
"Good morning," Allison said smiling at me brightly.
"Don't good morning me! What is he doing in our house!" I shouted pointing my finger at Jaxon.
I see him flinch and looked down at his hands. Call me a bitch but I don't exactly like this guys right now. Sure he is my mate and I basically just told the whole pack that I'm the future luna doesn't mean I'm taking him back.
"He said he wanted to talk to you about something"
"There is nothing to talk about between me and that hoe"
"Scarlett be nice!" Crystal scowled at me, and I scowled right back
"So what are you here for?" I asked again
Jaxon suddenly became nervous, judging by the way he kept scratching his neck and stuttering
"I-I was w-wondering if-if you would like to go-I mean hang out with me?"
"No," I said flat out. There is no way I would be going out with my mate that rejected me
"No?"
"Yeah no"
"Why?"
"Because I said so"
"Could you at least give me a chance?"
"Not in my lifetime"
"Why won't you forgive me?"
"Because you are a man whore" with that said, I pushed him out of the door and slammed it in his face. I turned around to find Allison and Crystal staring at me with wide eyes
"What?"
"That was harsh," they both said at the same time
I shrugged like it was no big deal "he was harsh when he rejected me"
"He deserved it. And you deserve some chase" Crystal said smiling at me
"Shut up"
"Fine, fine! Hey Allison, since you and my brother are mated, are you moving in with him?"
Allison thought about it for a while "I don't know... if I move in with him, then I wouldn't be able to catch up with you guys. But if I don't move in, then Henry would miss me"
"I GOT AN IDEA! Have Henry move in with us"
"That won't work Scar, he is the future beta, he needs to be with the future alpha's side at all times to aid him. And if Henry is to move here, then there might be a chance that Jax would too. I doubt you would want that right Scar?" Crystal said
I thought about it. She does have a point there
"Let's change the subject! Alpha Daggers announced that he would be handing down his alpha position tomorrow" Crystal said excitedly
"WHAT! THIS IS IMPORTANT NEWS BUT YOU'RE TELLING ME THIS NOW?!" I shouted
"Because he mind linked us, buut you're not in the pack that's why" she shrugged like it was no big deal.
But it is! Jaxon is going to be the alpha soon
I huffed in defeat and slouched down the couch. What could go wrong?
