"It's the principle of it, Brandon!" Hayden's voice rangout loud and clear through Dave's house, myself and David still upstairs, unaware that the pair had even arrived yet. I rolled over and turned to David as the argument continued on.

"They'll stop." He breathed, the sound of heavy footsteps on the stairs quickly followed by the bedroom door flying open, both Hayden and Brandon coming in and getting comfy on Dave's bed.

"Dave, c'mon. You know what today is." Hayden nod, my brows furrowing as I looked between the two, a loud groan coming from Dave.

"Do we have to?" He groaned, Brandon nodding in agreement.

"He doesn't want to g-go either." He state, Hayden only rolling his eyes in response.

"We promised, and I'm not fucking going alone." He snapped.

"Where?" I asked, fingers working through my hair as Hayden looked to me.

"Caity Babcock's birthday. We promised a few months back." He state, making Dave scoff.

"You fucking promised when you wanted her to keep quiet abo-"

"Shut the fuck up." Hayden quickly snapped, not allowing Dave to finish, teeth grit as he glared, eyes turned to practically slits.

"We're all fucking going." Hayden spat, Brandon confused as to what the two were talking about, though he didn't question it.

"Alright. Let us get ready then." Dave nod, gesturing to both himself and I, the both of us lazily dressed in sweats, both looking slightly disheveled.

"Alright. And take a shower. I'll buy you an air freshener. Smells like sex in here." He spat, making my cheeks heat slightly. Dave only rolled his eyes before closing the bedroom door behind Hayden and Brandon, turning to me with a sigh.

"You can shower first." He nod with a small yawn, though I was more interested in what Hayden was hiding from Brandon.

"I'll explain when we're getting ready." Dave nod, causing me to smile in response. After grabbing a towel, I began to strip from the clothing items Dave let me borrow, stepping into the shower and allowing the warm cascade of water to fall down my body. I rubbed my face with the warm water, sighing softly before beginning to wash my hair.

Dave's pretty secretive.

The thought came to mind and I momentarily stopped washing my hair, opening my mouth as if I were going to speak my response aloud. It was true. There really wasn't a time where I had asked Dave something and gotten a straightforward answer in the moment of asking him. Small things, such as what Hayden was hiding, to bigger things, such as why he had torn apart his home after speaking to his father, or why his knuckles were split and bloodied. A knock at the door pulled me from my thoughts and I quickly returned to scrubbing at my scalp.

"Yeah?" I called, David popping his head in the door, the shower curtain blinding his view of my body. He stepped inside the bathroom and began brushing his teeth, a small smirk pulling at my lips as I began rinsing out my hair, finishing up my shower before wrapping a towel around myself and stepping out of the shower.

I moved to brush my teeth after Dave before grabbing clothes from the bag I had brought along, pulling on black jeans and a maroon hoodie before beginning to towel dry my hair. I wait half an hour for Dave to finished in the bathroom before he came out, smirking slightly at me.

"You look nice." He nod, though I looked nothing above the average for myself.

"So Hayden and this girl Caity?" I asked, making Dave snort.
