Annabeth's POV

I woke up but Percy was still asleep. Not so surprisingly...
Sally and Paul did great to design this room.
I looked at the alarm clock he had by his bed. It said 08:22.
Percy had his own bathroom, and so would I they said. I still couldn't believe that I'd have an actual home with a normal address now. It was a thing you smiled about, a thing that warmed your heart and soul and made you feel at peace.
Running away when I was little... It sounded awful to Sally that since I was 7 I lived in Camp Half Blood. Of course, I had a lot of friends, siblings... And Chiron... But I've never had someone, other than the older kids, to go to and ask about, for example, girls' stuff, anyway. It wasn't tough on me, I was fine, adaptable. At least I found home there too.
I shook the thoughts of my past out of my head and looked around Percy's room again.
The color was, unexpectedly, blue. But it wasn't light. It was more like a midnight or deep ocean blue and the ceiling was white with some LED circle lights. The bed, just like his dresser and desk, was made of dark wood.
I looked up, not really moving, just scanning the room with my eyes.
He had two long shelves above the headboard of his bed but there were mostly just some empty picture frames on it. That would not be fun to fall on your head.
He also had a little black carpet on each side of his bed. The room looked amazing, even the electronics were toned to the color of his room and the light wooden floor. Seemed like Christmas came soon to Percy with the laptop and an unpacked phone on the desk, or Sally gave up and finally unwrapped his actual Christmas presents.
I quickly slipped into my shorts and a dark grey shirt with an owl on it. I couldn't resist when I saw it in the store, where I was forced to go in Rome by Piper. When I came out of the bathroom Seaweed brain was still sleeping. I could leave in the middle of the night and he wouldn't notice. Probably.
"Wake up Percy," I laughed before kissing him.
"Yeah mom, I will, just give me a minute." I burst into laughter as I walked to the door.
"You're a lost case Seaweed brain." I laughed again. "But I'm so happy we're here you dork." I muttered silently. Oh the days me and Sally spent thinking if he was okay, often just sitting in the old apartment, trying not to dig too much into our hopeless worries. As I closed the door, I saw that Percy rolled out of the bed and walked towards his backpack, since he had pretty much nothing in here as well.
I walked down the stairs to meet Paul and Sally sitting at the table drinking coffee and tea and eating some crumbled eggs with bacon that really did look great, though I didn't like that kind of a breakfast.
I saw two extra plates with the same food.
"Good morning," I smiled at Percy's parents and they smiled back, greeting me as well.
"Come sit dear." Sally gestured to the chair next to hers.
They even set up some glasses and juice. Percy ran into the kitchen just as I was about to say something, to thank them again.
"Hi mom, hi Paul. Morning girlfriend," he smirked at me.
Percy's parents looked at me guestionably.
"He thought you had waken him up and, it doesn't matter." I said, rolling my eyes and nodding at Sally.
"Mum? Do we have some cereals? Is there jam? Annabeth doesn't like eggs for breakfast at all," he shouted from the kitchen.
"You could have told me yourself Annabeth, I wouldn't be upset at all," Sally said, smiling at me.
"Now that we're going to live together you need to know you can tell us anything," Paul nodded.
"Um," I bit my lip. "I just didn't want to be rude, I guess."
Percy found the box of cereals and brought it to me.
"She always claims it's rude to devour the unborn the first thing in the morning." Percy laughed out. "But pancakes, she doesn't mind..." He stopped to think before plopping down next to me and setting the milk down.
'Thanks,' I mouthed to him and he took my plate and mixed the portion with his. Was he really going to eat that all? I stared at Percy for a while before turning back to the conversation.
"Sally, how far long are you? And when will you know the gender of the baby?"
I ate my cereals as she talked. She said that she was 11 weeks and we'd know the baby's gender when she was 18-20 weeks, so soon enough. The baby would be born at the end of January so we wouldn't be able to enjoy Percy's little sibling for too long before going to college but we'd still get about 7 months with her or him before heading off to New Rome. If we were to go there. I was rooting against it. Finally I could enjoy New York properly. The musicals and libraries, bookstores and parks. I was sure I wouldn't want to leave all that.
I decided to look up the furniture, decorations, and paint for my room, but I had a feeling that I should wait a little while before purchasing the items.
I didn't have much of normal money myself since I've only ever lived in the demigod places where we'd use drachmas. Though my mother, Athena, gave me a credit card a couple years ago. She had said that we, me and my siblings, who had their cards too, could use it to buy us anything we'd want or need to the extent of the mortal's laws.
I think that she meant books, school bills, and all those things... But I really needed a place to live and I couldn't let Sally and Paul pay for my things so... That must count as necessities.

We stepped out of the house just when Blackjack was about to consume the marguerites on Sally's lawn. He stopped with his mouth open right above the flower and pretended to admire it. Percy laughed at whatever the pegasus said.
I loved him, crazy black flying horse...
We headed back to camp just before lunch because Piper called me to get to camp immediately. She said something about Clarisse, Travis and Katie, and that I'd have to come right now so she could tell me. I bet it was just another prank or something like that.

We were almost above the camp when I saw something huge and shiny on the sky.

At first I thought that it was Apollo's sun chariot but as we got closer... Was that a dragon?
"Percy look!" I shook him and he almost fell down but I hugged him tightly to secure him. And he saw it too.
"It cannot be," Percy stuttered out. "Leo! That crazy ass idiot."
I shouted again, cheers and laughter, and Percy told Blackjack to fly to the golden dragon. I almost fell as he dived.
The dragon seemed exhausted, he was trying hard to stay in the air. It fell over the woods with the passengers still on his back. My heart took a leap. He'd be okay now, he'd have to. Blackjack flew right to the place of impact.
"Stay here bud," Percy ordered.
I'm gonna kill him if he hurt himself was all I could think about. We landed on a glade and started running to the dragon.
