The Lightning Thief Musical

*I do have 2 chapters started, don't worry :)*
I can't even begin to say how much the musical means to me. How much it bettered my life from the very start of it...
As the artsy/dance/music kid, I always loved musicals, I lived in the stories and I had my set favorites... Mamma Mia outstanding any other shows... All until this crazy amazing thing was brought to light in 2017. Finally! Now Mamma Mia still stands tall in the second place btw ❤
This musical has been going on and on for years before but it only had it's total breakthrough in 2017. Ugh.
And that was the year that Instagram notified me and led me to the FIRST LISTEN of Chris McCarrell's Good Kid. It was exactly on the day the video was released. I did not hesitate to give it a chance.
And you know what?
I'm not sure if I talked about it already... But I just cried. I was so dam excited, and grateful, and happy that all it led me to was not being able to study for my graduation tests that happened the next week. Honest to gods, all I did from that moment was listen to the musical soundtrack from the previous (so equally amazing too) versions.
*did pass okay so we good there*
And I remember the second song I found was from The Lighting Thief Benefit Concert (Video 2)... And I cried some more... Strong with Sally singing to Percy, how could one keep the floods closed?
And then I cried with my sisters too when they came from school that day (*not that I ever stopped *imagine 3 idiots crying in on one bed, watching YouTube on laptop, and then running to their mom to cry again to her because we obviously couldn't go see it in New York).

But well, you get the point. It was very emotional XD *still do cry during tree on the hill, every dam time... Always get hyped up for all the songs... Always sing... Long remembered all the lyrics... Still hoping I do get to see it live ❤

So I added the soundtrack to the chapters of this fanfiction (from the very first chapter of this) to honour the great work Rob Rokicky, our god who actually cooperated with Rick Riordan, has created. And to mention, he did put the best people that love these books so much too together. The cast is like the actual characters and that's a lot coming from not only me but many devoted fans and great cosplayers I know. You can see the passion for it, us, the stories, in their eyes.

I'm writing these things cause there's still people who don't know about the musical, so yeah...

End of my neverending rant for now? Who knows ;)

Only thing I know is that I am truly never letting go of this, it's my greatest, my sanctuary... And I also know that when I have a kid, these are the songs they're hearing every day or night from me to grow up to be righteous and good.
I was always a nice kid but to be brave like I am today is a privilege given to me with the first few words of Percy Jackson The Lighting Thief book, and strengthened by the music it was turned into. ❤
