Percy's POV
We walked hand in hand, Annabeth beautiful as always in her purple bikini and beige beach dress.
She commented on my outfit too.
"At least you're smoking hot?" She laughed.
I had my blue swim trunks with lobsters and a plain white shirt. And I really liked those trunks, my mom gave them to me last christmas, or at least the last christmas I got to spend home. She couldn't expect me to not love those.
It took us little to get from stealing kisses to thinking what the hell was I doing? I looked into those stormy grey eyes and I begged the faiths to never cut out strings.
And then Annabeth did the thing she loved the most, mocked me and finished with a kiss.
"Shut up and stop torturing me."
I let it out before realizing how stupid it was. Her eyes got that devious sparkles and she kissed me again, dragging me down this time.
We kissed for so long I lost track of time.
Annabeth quided me on the blanket, taking similar position to when she flipped me in Jupiter. As soon as I remembered that, I was done for.
"What's so funny Seaweed brain?"
"I just remembered somehing."
Annabeth apparently got it.
"So?" She grinned and I sat up with her straddling my hips.
"Nothing, you just seem to like being-" I smirked before finishing the sentence.
"On top of me."
She blushed so hard Bob Ross would have a problem with the shades of her skin.
"No, no, no- don't!"
Too late... Annabeth's castle wasn't obviously made to sustain my building skills.
"You're like a three year old with that."
She nudged me, I could tell I pissed her off, but she grabbed my hand to help me regain my balance. I just pulled her down with me until we both rolled in the sand.
"Percyyy-" Annabeth groaned. "Now we're never getting rid of that sand. It's travelling to New York with us."
"Come on up, it will wash off."
I offered her my hand. She accepted, got up herself and pushed me down again.
"Bite the dust- sand." She called, running towards the sea. Did she really think she was just going to get away with that? Breaking the rules was her thing anyway so I made a water barrier and she stopped on her heels before running into it.
"That's not fair, I don't have powers to use on you." She ran her hands through the water wall, painting images only she could see.
I hugged her, whispering: "You have no idea how much power you have over me."
Wherever she'd go, whatever she'd want to do. Whenever she wanted me to get ice cream and chocolate from the store...
"Hold your breath." I smirked and let the barrier fall, the water took us far enough. We could see the bottom, fish and corals, seaweed swirling around.
Annabeth splashed at me but I dived. She was kicking her feet to stay up for a bit, looking like a jelly fish. Adorable and deadly, gorgeous jelly fish.
She took her time before submerging too. I helped her down, forming an air bubble around us.
"You know that this doesn't count as swimming?" She said, getting comfortable in our little world.
"You're saying that I should just pop the bubble?"
She rolled her eyes, checking her dry hair curiously. "Seaweed brain, remind me if we ever grow out of this... And you let us drift deeper in, look around. The sudden difference in water pressure would be too much for me so be your guest but I'd kill you later."
"Threat understood." I saluted her way.
"Tomorrow we're at Vicky's but after that we have 4/5 days before we have to pack and leave-"
Annabeth gasped suddenly, her eyes growing wide.
"Do you think that Aphrodite will take us back home?"
Dam, I didn't think of that.
"Worst case scenario we'll travel by plane, I have the tickets."
Maybe Zeus wouldn't shoot me down considering that we saved his ass like- too many times to count.
"Piper's dad buying that house they'll all move in to? Can you believe that?"
"He'd give her the sun and moon if she asked. You seem to forget that. I just wonder how convenient it is that they got to buy the one right next to ours. Also-"
I spotted the shark behind Annabeth and that was when my brain stopped taking her words in.
"Whoa, look behind you!"
The shark smiled but it apparently didn't seem like a smile to her. He was really trying though. Annabeth jumped and screamed, crawled backwards to me all the while I was laughing like crazy.
"You should've seen- Yes you got a good smile Rod, don't worry."
"Do that again and I swear to all the Gods I'll-"
I kissed her.
"He just wanted to have some fun, had a bad day, all he found to eat was this tiny crab." I managed to say.
Roddy was long gone before I got to send a blessing his way.
"You knew what you were getting yourself into."
She facepalmed.
"I know." Annabeth muttered. "Can we get back? I'm tired and scared to death. Maybe I won't have nightmares thanks to you." I made the sea currents take us back to te beach and kept us as dry as I could.
"Are you mad at me?"
"Yes, I wanna go home right now and divorce."
Annabeth laughed at my immediate pout.
"Percy how could I be mad at you for you being you? I love you."
I smiled.
"Well then don't scare me like that..." I exclaimed.
"I scared you? Me? You? You sent a Great White shark on me and I scared you?"
Annabeth almost whispered cause we were already at the hotel.
"I'm going to die right here."
The bed was so soft I could get stretched on it by good old Crusty and not care.
"Come brush your teeth or I won't kiss you." She called back. I was so tired that I walked in as if I've done it a million times, forgetting we were still awkwardly new to being intimate.
Annabeth jumped a little. I didn't think of better than shielding my eyes. I grinned at the absurdity right away, messing my hair as I choked the laughter down, seeing Annabeth exactly as amused.
"You're crazy," she said, laughing. "Hand me a towel or get in, don't just stand there Percy."
I never got in a shower that fast.
