8. Reunited

Percy's POV

I must have blacked out somehow.
I remembered Leo and CALYPSO hanging from the tree. The next thing I see is Jason and Piper by my side and a lot of campers around me.
Annabeth was climbing up. Damn was she good at it.
"What are you doing?" Piper shouted as she sorta cried and sobbed and smiled at the same time, holding hands with Jason, almost jumping on the spot giddily.
Me too girl, that kid grew on me in the short time I knew him.
"What do you think? I'm going to cut that idiot down. And let him know how worried we were for days! And then I'll- I'll- I don't know!" She shouted down.
Annabeth sounded terrifying, but I could hear the change in her voice. She was not worried anymore, everyone she needed to be safe was finally safe.
But that wasn't my case, Calypso was there, hanging from the tree, and she seemed happy... But what if she still hated me? The curse back in Tartarus kinda proved that I hurt her feelings. She hated me, and sadly Annabeth too, for that. And now I couldn't help the tightening feeling in my chest, the panic rising and making my head throb.
"Annabeth don't cut the rope until we can catch them," I called, suddenly at least a little aware.
"I'm not stupid Seaweed brain.
Jason can you soothe the fall a bit?" Annabeth asked. She was already on the top branch where the rope was stuck.
"Yeah, I guess. But-" Jason muttered.
Piper interrupted her boyfriend.
"How are you alive Leo? We saw you die and you've had no one to give you the physician's cure!" She called.
Jason seemed just as confused as I was, as we all were.
"I gave it to Festus and he saved me. Can you please let us down now? And maybe not kill me considering the fact that I planned my death only so you guys could live!" He called. "Come on guys, Team Leo?" Leo pouted.
We all had to smile.
But even though Annabeth calmed down she could still kill you just with a stare right now. Her emotions were all over the place, I had to say, this was personal to her too.
"Team Leo," I laughed.
"Team Leo," Piper and Jason sighed, though then smiled too.
Annabeth said the same as she grinned at the couple hanging from the tree. She winked at Leo and with one slash they started falling.
"Team Leo that!" She called as she jumped down the tree.
Annabeth landed on the ground smoothly and my heart skipped a beat. Closer to her, I could breathe better.
Jason caught the two in the wind and they both landed on their feet.
We all hurried to Leo but Calypso backed a bit.
Piper punched Leo at first but hugged him. Seemingly not letting go, we all joined in. Imagine 5 teenagers hugging in the middle of the woods, being stared at by a crowd... Just hillarious.
"Can someone tell me what Team Leo is?" Calypso asked, her voice airy just as her powers, so natural and magical.
My heart jumped as I heard that voice. I pulled away from the group hug, at least pinching Leo to make sure and get revenge at once.
I stood my ground and looked at the girl. "Hey, no pretending, I'm really sorry for leaving Calypso, but please don't be mad at Annabeth, I had no other choice." I said, staring at the ground for a second before my Wise girl lifted my head and kissed me.
"Own your decisions Percy, you didn't mean to hurt her." Annabeth pulled away and walked over to Calypso. Sparing and ankle kick for Leo as she walked by him.
"Hey," Leo whined.
"Shut up," she smirked.
"Hi, I'm Annabeth," she reached out to Calypso. "It's nice to meet you," Annabeth shook hands with the very confused looking girl. And I saw something there, in Annabeth's stand.
"Though the curse sucked... I'm not gonna hold that against you, we all do regrettable stuff sometimes." Annabeth said in that moment of turning into an angel in my eyes. A freaking confident angel that could forgive you or smite you down any second now.
She hugged Calypso and I think whispered something to her.
We all walked to camp then.
Leo's siblings set off the honorable fireworks and we all helped with carrying Festus back.
Many kids welcomed Leo too, in rather violent ways I totally understood in the end, it was just a little revenge for the pain he caused to us all.
Nyssa just cried when her brother knocked on the door of cabin 9. She gave him a bear hug. I never saw that girl cry before. "I-need-to-breathe," he managed to say and Nyssa let go of him.
"Do that again and nothing will be able to save your stupid ass." She winked at him. Little Charlie ran out and tackled Leo to the ground.
It was a full day.

I smiled.
The campfire was brighter now, definitely happier than before.
Nico figured we should line up to punch Leo, even Chiron did. Sorta... He more maybe like totally kicked him with his hoof.
Ouch.
Some kids went twice...
I thought of how strong Annabeth must have been when she survived those months looking for me.
"I love you Annabeth. My powerful badass girlfriend." I said.
She just snuggled closer to me under the stars.
The fire shone brightly orange and red. And everyone was cheery on that night.
